I recently stumbled upon Cold pressed last Wednesday around 3, a quaint cold press coffee shop in the heart of downtown, on what was undoubtedly one of the worst days of my life. Earlier that day, my girlfriend broke up with me, leaving me shattered. To make matters worse, I narrowly escaped a serious car accident on my way home. With my spirits at an all-time low, I wandered into Cold pressed, seeking solace in a cup of coffee.
From the moment I walked in, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the cozy atmosphere offered a small but much-needed comfort. However, what truly transformed my day was the exceptional service provided by one of the staff members, KJ.
KJ greeted me with a warm smile that felt like a beacon of hope. Despite my disheveled appearance and obvious distress, he treated me with genuine kindness and compassion. His passion for coffee shone through as he expertly guided me through the menu, patiently explaining the nuances of their cold press offerings. I could sense his desire to uplift my spirits, and for a moment, the weight of my troubles felt lighter.
KJ recommended their signature blend, and I could tell he took great pride in preparing it. He worked with precision and care, ensuring every step of the brewing process was perfect. The result was a cup of cold press coffee that was smooth, rich, and full of depth – easily the best I’ve ever had. With each sip, it felt as though color was returning to my life, washing away the gray clouds of despair that had settled over me.
What truly impressed me, though, was KJ’s unwavering attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. He checked in with me a few minutes after I received my coffee to make sure everything was to my liking. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in my well-being made me feel valued in a way I hadn't felt all day.
In addition to the amazing coffee, the overall atmosphere at Cold pressed was inviting and relaxed, making it an ideal spot for both work and leisure. The cleanliness and cozy decor added to the charm, but it was KJ's exceptional service that truly saved my day. His kindness and expertise turned a disastrous day into a memorable experience, restoring a bit of hope and joy to my life.
I highly recommend Cold pressed to any coffee lover, especially if you have the chance to be served by KJ. His dedication to providing top-notch service and his expertise in cold press coffee make this place a standout. I will definitely be returning for another cup of that delicious cold press and the wonderful service that brought light back to my...
Read moreI'll start with the good part -- the food is good & clean, although you will probably want to ask for bacon to be cooked longer if you have time to wait (if your order includes bacon, obviously). The coffee drinks are as expected from any coffee shop...not fantastic, not bad, just in the middle. Anyway, my husband & I have come here several times because we know we'll be getting quality ingredients; however, when you spend $30 for two bagels & two coffee drinks, you're not only paying for food & drinks, but the service. That's where Cold Pressed TC, Redmill is lacking. It just always takes so long for something simple, as if they forgot about our order....which they did today. We were one of two orders in the building (mind you, we ordered first) & they gave us our food, gave the second couple their drinks, then their food, & we didn't get our plain & simple drink orders (a cold brew & a regular skim latte) until I asked for them. 🤣 It just makes me laugh because it's pretty sad, but my husband was not laughing. We've both been in the food/customer service industry & know the goods & the bads about it...it's just that the service part is consistently where this place lacks. I'll give y'all another try, but my expectations are low. Good luck! Good food, okay coffee drinks, below...
Read moreI use to order take away from Cold Press on General Booth Blvd., all the time when I worked near there. It’s been 3 years since then. I’m back in the area working and went thru the drive thru this morning for my usual which was the Lox Bagel GF. Unfortunately, for $16.71 it was definitely not worth it the increase in price. The price has skyrocketed but not the quality. In fact, the lox bagel sandwich was flavorless. Here are the details, the spinach leaves were wet as if someone had just rinsed them, there was no nori flakes, no sesame seeds and a flavorless cream cheese, which was not spread on but put on as a scoop. The gluten free bagel was not the everything bagel which they do make it in gluten free. The bagel was thick and bland, with wet spinach leaves, no nori, no sesame seeds which is advertised on the menu, would’ve added some flavor. $16.71 is too expensive for just a bagel sandwich that is not outstanding anymore. It was Not wrapped in paper like before and not cut in half as before. This sandwich for me went from a 10 to a 2. In fact, I will not be going back unless the management gets back to the way they...
