J&K Style Grill — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

My mother and I dined in at the Gen.Booth location. My burger was mouth wateringly delicious and my mother said her chicken sandwhich tasted amazing!! Both were a great size and the fries...I think the young lady who owns this place needs to teach others, I won't say the name but it rhymes with flick delay; how to make waffles fries because J&K's waffles fries are THE BOMB DIGGITY!!! I got a to go order of the Rasta Mac&cheese and ate that for dinner hours later and HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER!!! SO creamy and flavorful!!! I WILL be going back for more and telling others about this place. K's parents have raised one heck of a young lady who genuinely cares about her customers and their taste buds. :) I HOPE she never loses the passion that she has for her business and customers. :) The ONLY reason I left ONE star off of atmosphere is due to the bathroom conditions. The paper towel dispenser was empty, and yet it was only about half an hour after opening that we dined there. So they could have been checked before opening so I didn't have to use my shirt to dry my hands. And for some reason the soap dispenser was on the floor. Not sure why. Lol And I think the toilet seat either needs cleaning or replaced. It was hard to tell if it was what kinda looked like maybe a foot print on the seat or what it was. Either way just a minor repair for nicer appearences. :) No major complaints though because the things mentioned are easy fixes. I just meant to mention this to K before we left but forgot. I'm telling ya'll, if ya'll want to give your tastebuds a party, getcha some lunch or dinner here!!! I saw a review where some one who said the prices are too high. I think that is a to each their own thing. If you take into consideration the quality of foods a place uses to make their dishes plus the area plus a plethora of other things, I think more would understand the prices. I personally do not think the prices are insanely...

Stopped by here on the way home from the aquarium with our toddler.

We were immediately greeted by the family when we walked in and felt welcomed.

It’s a small shop but cute vibes. They only had one high chair from what I saw, just as an fyi.

Husband orders the bacon cheeseburger and fried, I got the waffle burger and onion rings, and we got our son the chicken bites and fries.

You know the mom made sure our son’s food was out first so we could get the food cooling down and him situated and eating. Absolute win! Thanks for looking out for us, because I doubt it was an accident.

Our burgers were great. Juicy and flavorful with fresh, high quality ingredients. Fried foods tasted like they were cooked in clean oil and perfectly cooked. Not underdone, not overly crisp and oil-logged.

I’m not sure of their names (sorry!) but mom and dad both checked up on us just enough to feel taken care of and not so much that we felt interrupted. Absolutely felt like we were regulars despite it being our first visit.

My one constructive note is to hit those nooks and crannies of the lobby with a scrub brush, magic eraser and some cleaner. I peaked over the window into the kitchen and could see it was very clean so it’s definitely just a thing of becoming blind to the lobby you see all the time you know? I’ve worked in small restaurants, I know how easy it is to not notice. No biggie, just friendly feedback.

I wasn't too sure about this this place at first, But once I walked in and took that first bite? Game changer. I ordered the waffle burger with their signature fries, and let me tell you...it was one of the most unexpectedly delicious meals I’ve had in a while. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about using waffles as buns, but it works. The waffles were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with just the right hint of sweetness to balance out the savory, juicy burger in between. It was messy in the best way and full of bold flavor. The signature fries deserve their own shoutout. They weren’t just filler, they were seasoned to perfection and had that ideal crispiness that keeps you reaching back for more. You can tell they take pride in the details, and it shows. Service was friendly, and the vibe inside was chill and welcoming. You can feel that it’s a place built on passion and flavor. My ONLY complaint, the space they had was accommodating but there wasn't enough, in my opinion...
