from beginning to middle what a journey this was. were were promised seats open after a family left but were instead lumped into the the side with another party. we tried to reaffirmed that our party was special, out to dinner to give my mom a reprieve from her recent cancer diagnosis and allow my grandmother her first ever hibachi experience. they assured us we would be accommodated with special seating. instead we were shifted to the side with another party. even receiving our appetizers and salad felt strange. they handed each individual soup to the party of white people, but they made us grab a hold of the very hot suit bowl container containers, and pass them off to one another. this is not only a hospitality no no and red flag, but dangerous and hazardous to the customers receiving the food service. The waitress even snatched away my salad before i was finished. Henry our cook was a standout. my mother advocated for the experience we were looking for. however, there was no-show typically experienced with hibachi. There wasn’t any lofting ship ramp into the air so that we can catch it into the mouth. There was no exuberant conversation or fun overall offered to the whole group.Highlighted again it was my grandma’s first time and the cancer diagnosis we were being mindful of irt the cooking of the food and Henry hit it out of the park. i don’t know if i’ll be back but wanted you all to know and be conscious on bias you may have when dealing with VIP customers. it was a shameful experience. as it, they were only looking to get us out the door as soon as possible. no one even came by to refill our waters or our drinks. especially for how much our party of four spent. additionally, we asked for filet mignon, that is not what they served us.

A local, family owned establishment with a larger variety of Asian affair than you might think for a restaurant its size! One area provides the always entertaining hibachi seating in three or four sections, each with its own personal chef preparing your selections before your eyes! Next, is a bar area where you have your choice of conversation or catching up on the sports. Alcohol beverages from saki to fruit passions to Plum wine and more connect you with your favorites. Last is a private table seating area where maybe 30 people can gather for table talk and celebrations as well. We have enjoyed everything we've tried, but my personal favorite right now is the tempura shrimp and vegetables. Another delicious meal is the salmon and steak, fried rice with vegetables. Sushi and steak , salads, miso soup, green tea, and more, so there's plenty of choices. Light music plays in the background and the service is very attentive. All meals are prepared fresh to order. Great place for a date, lunch, a meeting, to entertain, and to celebrate!

We decided to go out for sushi for dinner, and, honestly, we were a bit apprehensive despite reading some positive customer reviews and suggestions. But I have to say, this sushi place truly exceeded our expectations. It's not common for me to recommend restaurants, but this one really touched my heart. The fresh sashimi platter was exquisite and melted in my mouth. The sushi was freshly prepared, thoughtfully crafted, and perfectly sized for each bite, making it an enjoyable experience. I can't help but think that the next time I find myself in the area, I will definitely want to explore more of their menu specials. We opted for a table instead of teppanyaki dining since we had a little one with us. Still, I noticed how much fun other groups were having at the grill. This place is truly wonderful for small gatherings and feels very welcoming for families. If you’re looking for a warm and inviting dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try. Bon appétit!

I wanted to love this place. Great location and the ambiance is great. However, we really drew the short straw when it came to staff. We were in a party of six and ate on a Saturday night, May 14th. Our waitress was easily one of the worst I've ever had . When seated it took quite some time for her to come over. When it did she took our drink orders and eventually some of the drinks come our but one of our party's drinks was missing. FF to the next time she came out. My wife and I wanted to order sushi but for whatever reason we couldn't. Not a huge deal, but it would've been nice to know before ordering. I tell her to come back around to us (to take the rest of the tables order) but she completely left our table and didn't come back for at least ten minutes. When she finally did, and we ordered, one of friend mentioned the missing drink. Instead of completing taking our order she stopped taking orders to immediately look into the drink. Which is ok, I guess but I felt like feeding people should take priority. We had issues with our hibachi chef as well but I will complete the other issues we had with our waitress before getting into that. During our meal, I ordered another drink as well as a refill for my wife which neither received. Lastly at the end of our meal, when we had been there close to two hours, our waitress disappeared for quite some time and in fact I had to flag her down. Even after that when it was obvious our table was ready to leave it took another 10 minutes to get our checks and even longer to run them. I am used to getting our cards back rather quick and she was taking other orders and filling drinks rather than getting us taken care of. Lastly, while it didn't bother us personally, we were celebrating a birthday in our party and our server asked but never did anything else even though another party did get a celebration or whatever. In closing, easily one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. It seems the server had no idea how the job worked or even had she ever ate out and understood basic premises of the job and how to make customers happy.

The chef was not great either. Generally showmanship was less than expected for the hibachi experience. Fried rice was burned,it was way too smokey, and he only seemed capable of cooking one thing at a time which made the experience much slower. If that was the only issue it wouldn't have been that bad but tied with the bad service it made everything that much worse.

I will not return here nor...

The only reason we went here is because of the Groupon. We had seen the lackluster reviews and were skeptical, but hey, a deal is a deal. The dining area was pretty small for a hibachi place. We made reservations for a party of 6 adults, however we were sat with a random party of 3 adults and one child. It was a questionable choice and a tight squeeze, however we were still hopeful.

The soup was unusually salty, but the Hibachi was ok. The chef was fine, however the portion sizes were pretty small for the price. (Also, the price on the menu did not seem to match the final price listed on our receipt, as if they were using old menus, so watch out for that!) I usually have to take leftovers home from Hibachi, however everyone in our party was able to finish their food. The service left much to be desired as it took a long time to get refills and to get our check.

Their Groupon does state in the fine print that only one can be used per table, however we did not see this at the time of purchase, so we went to pay our separated check after my girlfriend's family paid theirs with their Groupon. The hostess told us that we could only use one per table so we could not use our Groupon at this time. My girlfriend's step dad asked what would have happened if the random family they sat us with had used a Groupon to pay before we did. She said that no one else would have been able to use their Groupon. That is a ridiculous rule being that with Hibachi you are often sat at a table with other people you may not know to fill the the space around the grill so that the chef can make a large portion of food at one time. Do they expect you to race to pay the bill to see who can use their Groupon first? They eventually honored our Groupon, however the hostess was very rude and unprofessional, slamming our check on the table and left us waiting at the register for a while before she would even take our payment. We will definitely NOT be returning.

tl;dr version: The service is bad, portions are small and over priced, hostess/manager is rude, and the Groupon can only be used once per TABLE. So if you get sat with random people, you will have to race to pay your bill first or else you cannot use your Groupon. Do not go here, there are so many other great Hibachi places in the area that are worth the price and have way...

We visited this restaurant about 2 weeks ago and 3 of us ordered the Hibachi Scallops. They had a strong smell coming out, and onto the grill, but there were other foods like shrimp also being cooked so we thought little of it. About 2 minutes into eating the dish, it became clear that these scallops were rancid. They had a slight smell of ammonia and tasted very oily. We asked the chef about the batch, and he said he couldn't speak to how old they were. So we called our waiter over and he said they were "sea scallops" as if that somehow justified them smelling and tasting raunchy. He brought over the manager, who proceeded to berate us and accuse us of making the whole thing up. I asked him to smell the dish, and he took his bare hands to lift one of the scallops off my plate and take it to the back where he did I don't know what with it. Then he emerged a few seconds later with a bowl of uncooked scallops and said "You see, these are so fresh I eat them raw!" and popped one into his mouth. We told him that we didn't suggest that some scallops might be fresh, but that ours were definitely not any good. At no point did he suggest preparing us another dish or resolving the situation. He just went on a tirade saying how we were trying to get over. Mind you we each only ate one or two bites of the dish before we came to our consensus that something was wrong, so eating and not paying was obviously not our plan. We asked him for a separate bill for the other items we ordered but he refused to even talk to us. So ultimately we left enough cash for our kids' meals and our beverages (about $50 of the $110 bill) and then left to eat somewhere else. As we left we saw other patrons getting the scallops and just shook our heads that they were still serving them. Terrible management, terrible food. We will definitely never go back there. Before my vacation was over I discovered another hibachi/sushi place called Super Ninja about 15 minutes away. Better decor there, friendly staff, and better pricing. I didn't get to eat there, but next time in VA Beach I'm...
