If I could leave a zero star rating, I would. I love LJS, and the closest one is 40 minutes from my home I was at a meeting near the LJS on Virginia Beach Boulevard, so I left the meeting to make sure that I would get there before they closed. I got in the drive thru line at 8:55 - five minutes before closing time. They had a note on the menu board showing “Order at window”, and there were two cars ahead of me. Customers were still in the dining area and employees were cleaning the tables and tray areas. I waited at least 15 minutes in line for the cars ahead of me to finish, and when I pulled up to the window - an employee locked the window right in front of me. I got her to open the window and explained that I was in line before their closing time. I was in line before the two cars ahead of me ordered. Cindy, the manager, came to the window and told me that the car ahead of me was their last car for the night. How was I supposed to know that? Employees inside saw me in the line. I could have went inside to order had I known that I would not be served at the drive thru. I told Cindy that my family loves LJS and we live 40 minutes away from it. I let her know that all I wanted to order was three pieces of fish and fries to take home. Cindy said that their fryers were turned off. The car ahead of me just pulled away seconds ago... they couldn’t turn them back on??? They could have asked the car ahead of me to pull up after they placed their order so they could take mine, but they didn’t. Cindy should NOT be a manager because she has no clue on providing good customer service. I was shocked and extremely disappointed by my experience. I wish that there more locations to choose from. I will not go back to this one as long as Cindy is...

If this is how you conduct business you don't have to worry about me returning or wasting another dime at your place of business. No people skill at all. Give better customer service or go back to the training school to learn how to work for the public manager and...
Read moreLet's be honest. They need to bulldoze this place and start over. Long John Silver's is a guilty treat around our house, we go once every few months and always feel bad afterwards but hey, we all have our vices right?
Thing is, this place is a dump. The food is OK, if you're in the mood for it. We had to go inside today because they were not answering the drive up window and we had a hankering for some fish tacos. The parking lot is dirty, the inside floor was filthy, the whole place is just nasty and needs to be re-painted/re-furbished but honestly, at this point, they might as well tear it down and start over.
The bright side, the service was decent and the food was edible, that means the grease was hot enough that the food didn't get soggy greasy, something these restaurants can forget, I don't know how, but sometimes they do. Seriously though, tear this place down, it would be easier than trying to get it up to speed with the other places...
