Sakura sushi & bar — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

My wife and I came in to check it out. Coming in the door, the staff was friendly and welcoming. It is very nice looking in the restaurant.

We both ordered bento boxes. The salad came out first, and was larger than we expected. The dressing was very good, it's a ginger dressing that tastes like it had a hint of citrus.

The presentation was excellent, the salmon teriyaki was cut into medallion like pieces, and it all looked very good.

The flavor for everything was pretty good. Be warned that there are a lot of onion pieces in the fried rice.

Overall, it's a very good meal at the price point. If you like bento boxes and are in the area, I recommend stopping in.

Update: we came back to bring one of our kids. He got 3 sushi rolls, and I got chicken katsu this time.

if you order from Uber eats or instacart, make sure you check your order before the driver leaves. the food is great but make sure you verify your items if you use a third party service. there's no motivation for the deliver people to get the orders correct because there's no one to speak to after they leave. the owner did offer to give me "free" rolls, which i paid for but I am not going to drive to the restaurant if I've had a few drinks. Pick up was all they were willing to order to make it right. Uber eats did refund the money for the rolls that were missing. Overall, it seems they have issues with delivery people. So glad this place just opened up! My wife and her mom went here for lunch yesterday and had a great time. The food was excellent, quick and reasonably priced! Some of the best sushi in the area. We also ordered several alcoholic drinks and they were all well balanced and delicious! (We probably ordered a few too many :)

The server Jackie was great! Friendly and funny! The woman who brought our drinks out also checked in with us and was really sweet. We were greeted by everyone when we came in too. Great atmosphere here!

We also accidentally dropped our debit card in the booth and they were really helpful when helping us look for it! Overall great food and great service. Can’t wait to...
