Rock Church — Attraction in Virginia Beach

As a new member, It was very nice, my first time there. The only complaint that I see is that they asked for about 5 offerings.

It would be better in my opinion, to ask for ONE, maybe two. They asked, one to give for the homeless, then another offering for the globel missionary churches, then another for the guest speaker and another for something else, I forgot, I lost track, it's so many. It's as though they want us to do the work for them in how to divi up the money. Then they go on to explain how you can give on line, and in a check, or cash, etc.

It just gives the wrong impression as to where their emphasis is. I'm sure it is not the money. I have no doubt of their sincerity but it is quite disconcerting.

I've gone to many other churches and have never experienced a church that ask for five offerings and more. They (other chuches) ask for one, maybe two then they divi it up to give to where ever or whoever.

Other then the money issue, I found the church people very nice, the choir and songs good allowing the congregation to sing and enough time for each member to worship thru song, which is the heart of members.

The message from the special guest was very good and nothing was rushed. I enjoyed that very much. I look forward to continue with this church. If it wasn't for that one monetary issue I would give it five stars.

John Blanchard needs to step down from ALL Leadership Roles of Rock Church. He needs to be deleted on the Rock Church Website and also ALL YouTube Sermons he gave at Rock Church. This reminds me of the Jimmy Swaggart scandal. The only difference is that Jimmy Swaggart Admitted to what he done wrong where as John Blanchard is covering up his scandal. Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. I seen a small part of the morning Rock Church Service for Sunday morning on YouTube (Aug 27, 2023) and John Blanchard was there. According to the Virginia Pilot News Paper Blanchards record was expunged. This is the power of money. My God, what a corrupt world we live in now-a-days. Signs of the end times. The charges were expunged and now he back in the pulpit again preaching again at Rock Church Virginia Beach, Virginia. Unbelievable. I would never go to this church and I sure wouldn't trust John Blanchard to come near my children. Big disappointment. My first time going to Rock Church today, 12/30/2018, & a fill in from California, 27 years old, was the worst experience I have ever had. He talked so fast, like he was on his 6th cup of double espresso. He yelled the whole time. It didn't feel good. Usually, my former church Pastor would reference the Bible, as he preached, and with a great deal of passion, would get louder, but not yelling at a fast pace, like today's pastor. I never felt the Holy Spirit. Not everyone was a drug addict, or addicted to our cell phone, and his topic was mostly unrelatable. It felt like he preached his own thoughts. He went on too long.
