Top's China Restaurant — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

I have ordered from this place in the past without any problems until last night. I live TWO miles from this place and I ordered food for delivery. Food is good but the service is terrible. Last night I placed an order at 8:13pm and was told that I would have my food by 8:50pm. Delivery driver didn't show up until 9:30pm and when I received my order my food was cold. Prior to delivery I had called back and said that I was not going to accept cold food. When the driver arrived I asked that he got back and remake the order and he refused. Called back to the store SEVERAL times and spoke to several different people claiming to be the manager or owner who refused to remake the order but also was rude and even hung up on me. This place advertises that they deliver but what they don't tell you is that they are using Door Dash so there is no guarantee that you will get your order in a reasonable amount of time. This is my second visit in the last 2 weeks. I was with an Asian family the first time and appeared to receive better treatment even tho my portions were small. I felt this place charged a couple dollars more but gave it a chance anyway assuming it would be a little better than the others… it was worse. I was reluctant to go today but it’s right off the freeway on my way home and it was late. Tonight I ordered the curry beef and it was terrible. I phoned immediately and her son… who’s about 12 told her the the problem and she refused to come to the phone and yelled a lot on Chinese. He returned and told me it’s too late once you’ve placed your order. She’s never getting anymore of my business. I’d give the restaurant a zero if I could. The little amount of beef tasted as tho it had been boiled and had loads of cornstarch with no flavor… besides being chewy. The baby corn and bamboo shoots tasted like the can they come from. Slimy, terrible smelling food. Was at least expecting noodles with the vegetable chow mein, but got a foul smelling vegetable sludge that i couldnt work up the courage to put in my mouth (I have had other gooey chinese foods before and liked them, but this was different). The General Tsao's chicken wasnt much better. Also I dont know how a restaurant can screw up rice but they found a way to, it was mushy and poorly-seasoned. I don't usually post reviews but I wish I had known because I certainly would have opted for Panda Express. I know good "hole-in-the-wall" chinese restaurants, but this is not one of them.
