During a discussion at work where we talked about pizza, a colleague informed me about Andolini's and about how good there pizzas are a long time ago but I never really payed that much attention. However on 05/30/2014 I was craving some pizza and I didn't really feel like trying the typical chains (e.g. Papa Johns, Pizzahut, Dominos) but something new and different.
That's when I opened up my Yelp app and did a quick search for pizza. When the search was complete a few places were displayed as I began to scroll down I happened to come across "Andolini's". When I saw this place in the list I immediately began to think about the conversation that my colleague and I had about Andolini's. I immediately figured out where it was located and off my wife and I went.
When we finally arrived at Andolini's you can tell that the seating would probably be limited and that the pizza is either going to be a hit or miss. We finally enter the store and I realize although it isn't a very big establishment they do have a reasonable amount of seating, however, most definitely not enough for large parties (I advise ordering and taking the pizza to go if you want pizza for a large party). They also have a TV there for the customers to watch.
Being that it was our first time we needed time to look over their menu (fyi, I don't believe they have a wall menu so you will have to grab one of their paper menu's). After about approximately ten minutes of deliberation my wife and I decided to order a large "Andolini's" Pizza with olives. Let me just say that the pizza was absolutely delicious. I mean the pizza was so good, that although my wife and I were content with two slices we most definitely had to eat a third slice (yeah we were glutenous pigs....lol). After the third slice we were pretty full and wanted to eat a fourth slice but we were just too full. The staff was nice as well ensuring that we had everything and we enjoyed our pizza. We told them that, "everything was delicious".
We "WILL" most definitely be back to Andolini's again, possibly to try some of thier...
Read moreThis was my first visit here. I'm always looking to try new places, sometimes that doesn't pan out. Like tonight.
I was looking for pizza but not something nearly as factory made as the big chains. Andolini's seemed to fit the bill. I ordered their sampler platter which consists of 3 wings, 3 mozzarella sticks, 3 jalapeño poppers and 3 pieces of chicken "tenders". For my pizza, I got a Buffalo chicken.
The platter was a huge let down. Everything was so, so over fried that you couldn't tell any of it apart until you cut in to it, which was kinda hard even with a steak knife. The chicken "tender" was very flat and hard, only 1 of the 3 poppers had the cream cheese in them and the rest just tasted like oil. Not good.
The pizza was... well, also not good. Burnt and dry is the best I can say about it. Not a single hint of Buffalo flavor and no sauce at all on this dry, burnt husk. My dogs normally eat my pizza crusts, this whole pizza is basically crust and they'll probably enjoy it as such.
The restaurant felt like waiting at a Dr's office, all it needed was a pile of old magazines. The staff were...
Read moreI appreciate a family owned business. This place has been going 10+ years strong, and that really says something when the location is in the warehouse area of Ashburn. The spaghetti with meat sauce is probably my favorite from my order. Great flavor, the amount of food was excellent for the value of the dish, and it came with garlic bread. I would rate the meatballs and the fries second as they were also very well portioned (fries were a very large quantity unexpected 🤩) and the meatballs were made fresh and were so soft and full of flavor. The pizza was probably the least favorite, although still good, the dough could use some work as it’s a little on the chewy side, I’d really like to have a firmer dough on this type of pizza. All n all, Jose was a very gracious host and we had a little chat on my way out. Exceptionally well hosted for a small pizza shop! I will be coming back for...
