Arby's — Restaurant in Virginia

UPDATE: July 19, 2024 I turned today to try their burger, fry, and shake meal. The online price for this meal is $9.99. I was ordering 2 meals. I showed the guy taking my order and he said it's $11.79 that price one is if you order online. I said ok, I'll take 2 each with a chocolate shake. I paid the $25.93 ..... While waiting, I asked a guy there to please make sure the burgers are cooked well done. He looked at my receipt and said that I ordered 2 beef and cheddar meals. I said that I ordered the burger meals. So he fixed that problem. Then the guy that took my order brought over 2 shakes. I asked him if they were chocolate. He said oh that's right, you did say chocolate. Today was my LAST visit to this place.... NEVER AGAIN!

This store is "hit or miss." Sometimes I go here and everything is great.... other times it's HORRIBLE. The sandwich I like is no longer on their menu board but they still make and sell it. But... the problem is that most young people don't know what I'm ordering and have to stop and ask a manager while holding up the line behind me or they look dumbfounded. THE FOOD: Well.. I really don't know WHAT the substance is that they call roast beef. I never have been able to figure out what it really consists of. I somewhat like the taste, but would love to know EXACTLY what I'm eating. The roast beef is always cold. I've asked them to heat it up before but it does something not only to the taste, but the texture.. I never paid attention to how they heated it up... I'm assuming they use a microwave. I worked for Roy Rogers back in the early 70's and we steamed the beef for about 2 or 3 seconds to warm it up. If you order the "beef" and "cheddar" are you getting real cheddar cheese, or a cheddar cheese "sauce?" The fries are sometimes hot, other times cold. Isn't there a maximum "holding time?" I wish they would follow it. And the cleanliness... Every time I've gone to this store there is ALWAYS discarded food on the floor and tables. Normally I end up having to wipe my table off myself before I sit down even if there is no food on it because it has dried up ketchup, or something sticky on it. I would say that 90% of the time the trash cans are full or almost full. It doesn't seem to be a priority at...

Employees seem happy to be there! Have been there several times, they seem to stay busy, which is a good sign to me. Not sure on cleanliness of bathroom. I usually drive thru. Couple of times I have been inside pretty dang clean!! Food always hot, and other than 1 time order has been correct! Have seen small families, and they have seemed to be enjoying themselves and feel comfortable sitting for dinner! Problems: Same as most Handi-cap accessible. No automatic doors for people with wheelchairs or walkers ! This seems to be a very common thing at non- large retailers. If you've ever tried getting through a door that closes automatically, which i have in the past, and a walker; without assistance is very difficult. It usually ends up with scrapes and bruises. Crud yes i just typed all that! I would definitely recommend the place! Im sure it's not that good every day, but odds are it will be the day you go. Oh yeahhhhh! We're tired of the lackluster food and service here. My spouse and I went through the drive-thru this evening to pick up some dinner on our way to grocery shop. We really wished we'd picked just about anything else after we did. To start with, the boy taking our order at the speaker was rude to us. The cost was far too expensive to justify what we received in service or food quality. Speaking on the food, for the ketchup we asked for for our two orders of fries, we got one, sticky packet. I didn't even want to touch it, much less know what was on it, so it should go without saying that we didn't use it. My beef and cheddar was so messy with cheese sauce, it didn't even help the flavorless roast beef. The fries were fine, my spouse ordered mozzarella sticks which were also good. We regretted wasting money and time on this place and you can bet every other restaurant in this shopping center will be tried multiple times before we even think about coming...
