My husband & I've been coming to this restaurant for awhile. Tonight I ordered a Stromboli with ham, pepperoni , bacon an cheese. My husband got a hamburger. Normally the food an service have been great. NOT TONIGHT! I got a Stromboli that was nothing like what I ordered. It was only vegetables mainly onions an cheese no meat. I very nicely an quietly told the waitress it was not what I had ordered but I would go ahead an deal with it. She acted like she didn't understand anything I said. So then another young girl comes to the table an says "Do you have a problem" very very rude an angry. So I proceeded to tell her my situation. She very rudely says well I can give you some off your meal. I was like ok but I just wanted someone to know. I wasn't asking for a discount. Then the waitress who acted as if she couldn't understand me NEVER came back to the table. We ran out of coke an she walked right past us an never got us a refill. So I walked to counter an ask for a refill. She very rudely jerked the cup outta my hand never said anything after 5 minutes she brought a new coke up an basically slammed it down in front of me. At this point I decided I was going to say something. So upon leaving I ask the young lady who was rude to me why was she so rude. I didn't do anything wrong I was polite an very quiet when explaining what happened. They gave me the wrong food then was extremely rude an ugly to me an never came back to our table. She looked at me like I was stupid an said " No I wasnt"...No one ever said oh we are sorry you got wrong food an thank you for eating it an not sending it back. I politely told her with their behavior towards me we won't be returning ever again. We normally eat at this restaurant at least twice a week. But they lost...
Read moreExcellent experience overall this evening. The staff was outstanding. How we found this place: I did a Google search of Italian restaurants near our hotel; there were several, but we liked the look of this menu on the Bella website. (Firstly, don’t let the exterior of the building (non-descript strip mall off an exit influence your decision to go.) The interior is comfortable, casual and welcoming especially because of the staff. It was clear during our visit that to-go orders are very common. And, there were plenty of customers coming/going, so this hidden gem of a restaurant has a following. The food: Our server brought us 2 little plates of perfectly presented and tasty bruschetta, a pleasant surprise. My husband enjoyed the lasagna dinner with a glass of wine, and I also enjoyed my spaghetti with tomato sauce. We shared the meatball appetizer, and I put 2 of the meatballs on my spaghetti. The prices were fair, we thought, especially since a lovely salad and homemade breadsticks were included. The breadsticks were so fluffy and tasty! We treated ourselves to a piece of limoncello cake for dessert - wow - delightful. We don't live in VA, but if we travel here again, we’ll definitely return to this restaurant and maybe try the pizza next time. Thank you,...
Read moreThe first two pictures are of the calzone with the works, the following two are Stromboli with the works and the final picture is their garlic and cheese bread. This place was better before covid hit, we also got the children's cheese ravioli plate. Both the Stromboli and the calzones seem to be made the same way with VERY minor crust shape/ingredient list differences. Anyone that calls themselves a true Italian knows that strombolis are rolled up like a burrito and not folded in half like a calzone. There was almost no taste difference between the calzone and stromboli. The only difference was vaguely being able to taste ricotta in the calzone. I know that covid has hit businesses pretty hard, but when it comes to simple meals that one could make at home being called 'italian food' one could expect the same getting some ingredientsfrom Kroger to make a bake at home dough and filling it with their ingredients along with buying a hot dog bun and minced garlic and smothering it with butter and barely baking it. Five out of five stars for the personality of the staff in the restaurant, three out of three stars for the quality of their food product most of it tasted like it was frozen and...
