This place doesn't deserve 1 star. I went there and ordered a happy hour strawberry popping candy slushy. At first, the clerk said that she can give me extra candy, if I wanted it. I was like, sure but can you put the candy at the top? She said, "no problem." The first slushy she gave me had candy at the bottom. I said, can you remake this, because you said that you can put the candy on the top. She said, sure. She remade it then handed it to me. I looked at the amount of candy, and it didn't look like it had extra candy on it. When I mentioned my observation to her, she tried to convince me that there was extra candy on top. I was like, "no there is not. I watched you make it. You only used 1 pack of candy. If you say you can put extra candy on it, then I want extra candy on it." She retrieved an extra pack of poppin candy and poured it on top. I thanked her, then I left feeling satisfied....until I got to my car and took a sip of it. THE Worst tasting strawberry slushy EVER. I've ordered the same slushy from two other Taco Bells and received a quality product ever time. But the slushy at the Taco Bell in Troutville was the worst. It was watered down so much, it didn't taste like strawberry. Plus I was appalled that the clerk tried to make a fool out of me by lying to me about her putting extra candy on the slushy, when she and I both knew that she didn't. And, the restaurant looks as unclean as their employees. I saw one food assembler place his gloved hands on his hips, touching his clothes, then he placed them on food - disgusting! Another was leaning on the food preparation area, and the area was covered in leftover food - disgusting! I'm glad I didn't order food...
Read moreAlright. First off, if I could give this excuse for a restaurant less then one star, I would. As we pulled up to this Taco Bell, not a single person was parked in the parking lot and we weren't sure if they still served food here, much less if they were open. The orange paint on the building seemed to be fading and unappealing to the eye. Seeing lights on inside the building, we parked and went in, immediately going to the counter. There didn't seem to much working going on in the kitchen, and we had to wait a few minutes for someone to come help us. So I ordered, "Can I please have a chicken quesadilla with pico de gallo on it?" The woman taking our order ignored my question and turned toward the kitchen asking if she could go on her break. I'm curious as to what she was taking a break from seeing as no one seemed to be doing anything when we walked in. After I'd gotten my food, I opened up my quesadilla to see if it had the pico I'd paid extra for. It didn't. So poiletly, I went up and asked for a small cup of pico. I was told (by someone else- the other woman had gotten her break) that it would cost extra. I informed her that I'd already ordered it on my quesadilla. She refused to compromise, and I was told to pay. So of course, I did. I then watched as several other customers would came in and were ignored/treated badly by the slacking employees. I highly recommend to SKIP this exit while pursuing a Taco Bell. Not worth your...
Read moreNo counter service, restrooms or service for people in oversized vehicles. - Let’s be honest, we don’t expect fantastic service from Taco Bell, but this location was exceptional in its incompetence and lack of service. I placed an on-line order for in-store pickup. When I got there, they had a sign on the door that the lobby is closed “due to staffing issues” and that for service you would have to go through the drive through. Well, I did in-store pickup because I needed to use their restroom, but with the lobby closed that was impossible. So then I went through the drive through and the young lady who was working the the intercom said that my order wasn’t in the system yet and that I would need to leave the line and come back in 5-10 minutes. I briefly argued with her and then noticed that the app showed my order as being ready for pick-up. When I pointed that out to her, she magically found the order. Then when I got to the window, there were so many people back there, they were tripping over each other. They were literally bumping into each other trying to get orders ready. There were definitely enough people to open the lobby, and if they had it would have alleviated a lot of congestion through the drive through. Instead they are using “staffing” as an excuse to reduce service to customers. Anyone with a large vehicle should beware. If I had my truck instead of my wife’s mini-van, I wouldn’t have fit through the...
