Chen's Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Virginia

We've been eating at Chen's for years and it has always been reliably good to excellent. My husband has been ill and when nothing else sounds good he asks me to pick up their hot and sour soup. Today was my birthday and a pretty crumby one. He wanted hot and sour soup and I ordered while driving so I didn't have a menu. I've been craving curried shrimp which I don't recall seeing on their menu. I asked and they said sure they could do a curried shrimp dish. I had to write this review because not only was it the best curried shrimp dish I've ever had, it was actually the best Chinese restaurant dish I've ever had, and I've had a few. It was chock full of my favorite fresh vegetables (broccoli, bell pepper, sweet onions, snow peas, carrots, water chestnuts), jumbo shrimp, and an excellent curry sauce. Update: we ordered delivery today, as usual fast delivery, friendly . Food was delicious, egg drop soup, loaded with egg , we love the spicy tangy dumplings, should've ordered two , lol yummy 😋. I called to order from Chens and started driving towards them immediately because I live 40 minutes away from them. The lady called me to let me know my food was ready and I said I was on the way. She then called again saying they close at 9:30pm even though it says online they close at 10pm. (Suggested a new edit for the hours) I told her the exact time we would be there which was just a few minutes over 9:30pm and when I got there at 9:32pm it was all dark and the doors locked. Even the front doors say 10pm. I am really frustrated by this experience and makes me not want to come back even though I have been a loyal patron for 10+ years.
