Chen's Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Virginia

Had dinner at Chen's last night. We were the only 2 customers they had. We were given a menu and a glass of water and after waiting for 15 minutes had go to the waitress and ask her to take our order and if we could have some noodles. She slammed the noodles on the table, then took our order but waited another 5 minutes before she took it to the kitchen. The first check she brought us wasn't ours....no apologies, she just looked as though it was our fault. When she brought the correct check the price for my dinner was wrong so we asked another waitress to check it. When no one came back to our table we went to the check out to pay. Our original waitress was there she took my friends money and the the phone rang. Instead to asking that person to hold so she could check me out she proceeded to take FOREVER to take the order. After more than a couple of minutes I had had enough and finally told her (while she was still on the phone) that if she didn't take my money then that I would leave. Once she hung up I told her the price for my meal was wrong so she started tapping her computer screen then flipped through the menu obviously unhappy that I would challenge her. She said the computer was correct and the menu was wrong that the price was changed years ago. I told her that wasn't my problem and I was only going to pay the menu price. She rang up my meal at the menu price and whipped out the charge slip for me to sign and draw a line through the tip. My tip to this hateful woman is find another job. I was incredibly disappointed by their food. I ordered fried rice. I expected the usual 10 to 15 minutes wait as it would have been cooked. Instead the person who took my order and money walked in the back and walked out with a bag of it about 40 seconds later. I could only assume that this meant they had just finished frying up a fresh batch of it. Sadly I was very wrong. Upon opening the rice when I arrived home 10 minutes later, I found it was brilliant orange. Fried rice is not orange it is the color of rice with obvious onions and peppers in it. This disgusting meal had egg in it. I did not order eggs. Eggs make me very ill. Even worse it was completely mushy with no trace of oil having ever been in contact with it. It was as if they had cooked it in the morning and then steaming all day. There was no firm crispness to the rice and it had absolutely no taste of oil. With less than a forkful tasted, it had to go into the trash. I will never return to this restaurant as their food is very subpar and it contains ingredients that are not what I ordered. I don't know why the rice contained eggs and I have no idea what that hideous orange color was about. I would not recommend this establishment. Do not purchase this for anyone you care about whether it's yourself, a guest, or a loved one. A horrible time would be...

Update...I decided to give them another try. I placed a delivery order online and received a confirmation email. An hour and 15 minutes later, no food. When I called they said when online orders are placed, they print out and nothing printed out, so nothing was cooked. 😳 Speechless and hungry! -‐----------- This used to be my favorite Chinese but they continue to go downhill. We usually get delivery and the last 3 times its been wrong. We came into the restaurant to eat today and the Manager is so incredibly rude. She was not nice (sounded like a hateful laugh towards us) when we ordered a little different. We learned that she is the new owner/manager.

The food is not what it used to be either... Got an egg roll that was obviously refried in oil to heat it up. Not fresh. Chicken and broccoli was just average. Beef and broccoli was just average .
