China Kitchen — Restaurant in Virginia

Working in the area and drove past this place for a year thinking it was closed indefinitely. No open sign etc etc. When you enter the restaurant you're greeted with a chair that holds a sign saying "Take out only!" Which was ok being I had planned to order take out. The restaurant had no way to order on line that I could find, so you'll need to call or order in person. I ordered something simple since this was my first time ordering from here. Fried Dumpling, Shrimp Fried Rice & a Egg Roll for $19.00 They brought the food out to my car in about 20min. Sorry to have to say that the food was edible but not very good. The dumpling had a weird looking mystery meat inside much like the frozen pot stickers you can find in almost any store. The shrimp fried rice was bland and boring, a mix of rice, egg, green onion, shrimp and soy sauce. The egg roll was mushy inside and also reminded me of the same kind you can find in most stores. I will NEVER go to this place again. Trying to grab a quick lunch on the way in between appointments I called and ordered a wonton soup and a spring roll. The lady gave me my total which was $3.42 and told me it would be ready in 10 minutes . Upon arriving at picking out my border I handed her my debit card to which she very loudly stated that she did not except debit cards on orders under five dollars. She snatched the bag off of the counter as if I was going to grab it and run before I paid for it and then walked away without so much as a thank you or I am sorry. I am seeing reviews from one end of the spectrum to the other. I am picky about Chinese food and always special order everything, The gal taking my order could not have been more friendly or accommodating by adding onion to my rice and putting sauces on the side. My food was hot, fresh and delicious. The Shrimp Tso was incredible and they always give you enough for two meals. If you haven't tried the Crispy Beef or Chicken, do, it's sooooo good. And the Crab Rangoon and Egg Foo Young, to me, is better than any other place around. China Kitchen is now my new and only place to go for awesome Chinese...
