Bojangles — Restaurant in Virginia

If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would! There is a reason Chick-Fil-A is praised the way they are, its called CUSTOMER SERVICE! This Mechanicsville Bojangles might need to so some Staff Training on what Customer Service consists of. 1st of all, the store opens at 7:00 a.m. I came through the drive--thru and sat there for 8 mins with noone even coming on to acknowledge there was someone there, to say please wait a moment, or anything that would have been informative vs me just sitting there waiting. I pulled up to the Drive-Thru window and same thing, Noone even came to the window. I proceed to go inside and there was literally 1 other customer in there, so why was the Drive-Thru neglected, does it open at a different time? The young lady working the register had the most grim, sour look on her face and failed to even say Good Morning, Welcome, something that would pass for a greeting. She fixed the food with an attitude and just the whole experience made me really regret spending my money at this establishment. In the future I'd rather drive all the way to Hopewell to the Bojangles that I am used to because even on a bad day, they are Great with Customer Service. I am very disappointed, and I hope there is a compassionate Manager that can address this issue for the sake of your Customers. I prayed for that young lady and hope that in the future no matter what's going on on the inside, you can still manage to at least SMILE on the outside, it makes the food experience better for...

Absolutely horrible. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The food was greasy, the staff was unnecessarily playful and when I reported my additional concerns to corporate (via their online website), I never received a response. I ordered 2 separate meals for 2 different people and all the food was in one big box. THIS FOOD WAS FOR 2 DIFFERENT PEOPLE who did not want their food together hence they were 2 separate orders. When I asked for the food to be separated, LITERALLY the 1 lone chicken leg (that was a part of that separate order), was placed in a bag with a large fry. So now we have a single leg in a bag with a large fry instead of being in a decent BOX with the large fry. Also, the straws were inside the box with all the greasy chicken....ridiculous. Since there were 2 separate meals, they should have been placed in 2 separate boxes and the boxes placed in a bag instead of being all put together and me being handed napkins out of the drive thru window. ...

The chicken strips I received were literally cold (felt cooler than room temperature). I was thankful they at least seemed fully cooked. The fries were hot and tasty. The Bo Biscuit could've been warmer, but it was still warm. I enjoy the regular biscuits because they are more moist than other fast food/chicken places. The sweet tea was better than many places I've been (even more upscale restaurants). There were dead flies on the window sills beside where I sat to eat. I was told the men's bathroom had no soap. Overall, it wasn't the "worst" experience, but with more attention to maintaining fresh food and temperatures and not overlooking places that usually get missed when cleaning, the experience could get to at least a 4-star review. More effort with employees being welcoming, hospitable, knowledgeable about menu items, and offering friendly smiles can get 5-stars.
