K-Wings Korean Style Chicken — Restaurant in Oakton

Service was really poor. I ordered via the app: 4 different types of chicken worth about $70 and got only 3 radish in the bag, I asked for 1 more and the woman who seems to be the owner was rolling her eyes and said she'll charge a dollar, so I said go ahead. I asked if it's okay to be charged on the credit card (I don't carry cash) otherwise I've to go grab it from my car (I do carry small change in the car for emergency), she was already irritated and annoyed the moment I asked if it could be charged on the card and said it's such a hassle to charge a dollar through credit card and therefore, just take it but next time order extra radish and prepay. I totally understand that many small business don't want to use their credit card machine because of the fees, so I did say, I'll grab cash from my car. What upsets me is her attitude towards the customer and since I ordered 4 entrees that includes one whole chicken = more like 5 entrees in total, I think I deserve 4 or more radish in the first place. It was ridiculous that she made such a big deal out of 1 frickin radish. This woman was rude and unpleasant.

Also, my order was big, she only handed me one bag which I thought it was odd, but I left the store (didn't want to say a word to her anymore) and got in to my car. When I was about to leave the place, other employee came out and handed me the 2nd bag without any apology.

When I got home, the order was missing a snow onion sauce. I ordered snow onion chicken and specifically asked for the sauce to be on the side, but it was not there. My gosh, another problem with the soy garlic spring onion chicken, spring onion sauce on the side was literally spring onion that was soaked in water, no dressing and tasteless. Choong Man Chicken has phenomenal food that taste excellent, has great quality, and gives large portion sizes. Furthermore, all of the workers are incredibly friendly and make doing business a pleasure. I ordered chicken tenders (comes with 1 pound), wholes chickens (weight unknown), rice, and French fries. Everything was cooked excellently and it was obvious great thought was put into everything on the menu including the various sauces put on the chicken. The fries were also very flavorful and cooked perfectly. I was in town from Massachusetts and tried this place for the first time. After placing my order I locked my keys in my car by accident and was 4 hours late (roadside assistance issues) to pick up my food. Not only was the owner understanding, but he also offered to again fry some of the chicken and fried fresh fries (Without me asking) so I could have a warm meal before my 7 hour drive back home. Not only was this incredibly kind and thoughtful, but also it displayed the character of the owner and to me showed his care for his customers. Food is good, customer service not so much. I called and asked wait times for dine in and was told 45min. I decided to place an order for pick up instead. We get to the restaurant and there’s literally not a single person there. We asked to eat there instead just like we wanted to in first place. As we were about to be seated, they changed there minds and told us no, that it’s against company policy. I would understand if they were slammed or something but literally there was not a single sole in the dinning room. It is what it is but after a long day of traveling for work, it would’ve been nice to be able to sit and eat vs pick up and drive 20 more minutes.

Edit to add: We get home only to realize they didn’t even give us the sauce. One that was supposed to come with and one I paid extra for. We call the restaurant for them to not even listen to the issue or apologize but to tell us to request a refund from the app we order through. We will not be going back.
