Somewhat recent transplant from NYC here… finding my staples has been hard, I gotta tell ya. A good mom & pop affordable Italian restaurant i could eat one meal a day at, a decent bagel (?), Chinese food???, all-night eats that won’t send me to an early grave, and a delicious slice of pizza. I’m still working on a number of these… but slice of pizza has been found in the form of a small pie at Cousin Vinny’s. They are the best on the Hull Street strip by far. Maglio’s is honorable mention. I’ve tried them all. I highly recommend their Deluxe (I swap onions for black olives). The remarkably delicious water of New York City (this is not a joke) will always makecNY pizza and bagels ‘better’, but Cousin Vinny serves up an absolutely delicious pie in thin crust or hand tossed. Their toppings are always so fresh and tasty and their crust is just the right kind of crunchy chewy, not too heavy, not too greasy. The guys working in the store including the owner many times are incredibly nice people, they’ve got your obligatory Galaga/pinball combo (it’s not Galaga now), and even the delivery guys are a pleasure. I grew up in Manhattan and The Bronx… Can’t honestly tell you if Brooklyn Pizza is different from Manhattan or Bronx pizza. It might be! But Brooklyn Pizza here in Midlothian is not for me.. over done, too expensive, and they have an entire wall size photo of my old neighborhood and the apartment i used to live in which kinda makes me miss the Chinese Food even more. Where do i find some decent Chinese food? Ugh!! Anyway.. Vinny’s is just delicious and reasonably priced.. i love it and you will too. I have not been compensated for this review…,but they did feed me. Recently I’ve been working on my car in the evenings, so I’m on a tear and had dinner at Vinny’s three times. Whoops. Yesterday I had to share a pie so tonight i got one thst was all mine. Poor thing didn’t make it back to the house. LOL. Least I could do was drop a review, right? Thanks guys. Seriously the pizza tonight was A+. And I swear I am not high. :).

Read moreEdited: Case in point, their super professional response. A bit nuts to go look up and point out a whopping 4 perfectly valid negative reviews I have left on other businesses instead of addressing owning up to their shortcomings. The majority of reviews I have given have been 5* --- give credit where credit is due (like pointing out the pizza is great not only on the review but in private messages to the business when letting them know of the problem) and warn others when a business is doing a poor job (clearly displayed horrendous customer as shown below). No name calling, no disrespect, just putting out facts as they happen is deeply offensive to this business.
Original review: This is crazy - I have never experienced anything like this before: Great pizza, horrible customer service. I tried to order online, as I have done many times, but noticed the price I was being charged was different than what was advertised. I called to let them know of the mistake but they wouldn't honor the advertised price. This was under $1 difference - just honor it and be done, right? Wrong. I wrote them let them know there was an issue before posting online that they are advertising one thing and charging another which I wrongly assumed would be appreciated. What I received was an incredibly rude response of yes, the price difference has been there for months and they cant imagine how I am if a price is wrong at Walmart and cant believe I bothered them over $.85. They said I am the only person to notice and berated me for that as well as for writing them over the issue - this is also after calling me on FB messenger at 5:03AM. Who ever is running that place needs to settle down and learn some people skills. I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up at my house or something equally insane like that in retaliation since they have my address on file. I am totally baffled at the anger shown and bummed that I lost my "go-to" pizza spot. Oh well, my arteries will thank me...
Read moreI will admit their pizza is good but their service leaves a lot to be desired. Their business practice has been put into question several times by my family as we typically order the same items and have noticed there is never any consistency with their pricing structure. Last week I ordered 2 pizzas and the charge was $12 and change as it was their "2 for Tuesday" deal. Today I attempted to order the same EXACT pizzas and was told the total would be a little over $20. Fortunately I still had my receipt from last week so I was able to speak with the manager, Renee, and explain to him the discrepancy. I also noted that I had ordered the same pizzas 2 weeks early on a Tuesday and had been charged apx $15. He could provide NO explanation for the lack of consistency. Best I can figure their employees may be taking money off the top and entering it as a "tip." Other times I have gone to pick up pizza to question the total and have been told a delivery charge was included that they then remove. Had I not asked that extra amount would have been paid and no one but the customer loses and I feel confident that their employees walk out at night with a little extra money in their pockets. It is completely unfair to the customer to not be consistent with your business practice especially when it comes to pricing. Buyer be very wary.... you may be paying more than you should! We have ordered our last pizza from this...
