Daddyo's Tavern — Restaurant in Virginia

Whether you’re in town for a weekend or a local, you need to check this place out! We visited Daddyo’s on a whim this past weekend, just looking for a quick place to stop for a drink before heading back to our hotel. We were greeted and welcomed right away by the owners, and then received very prompt, friendly service from the bartender. As soon as we sat down we started to realized we lucked into a gem! It was karaoke night, which we do not by any means search out, but let me tell you, the talent of the locals was incredible! We love live music and not only were they incredibly talented, they were so much fun to watch and even got people up and dancing. It was by far the best karaoke night either of us have ever experienced! Not only did the bartender check on us frequently throughout the night, almost every one of the locals came up and introduced themselves and welcomed us to the area. Took my family here for dinner. We are local to Williamsburg and have been here before without any complaints. But this was just horrible. They weren’t very busy at all but took more time than necessary to take care of us. When we were seated the table was sticky and unclean. When we complained about the table the waitress gave us a rag to clean ourselves. We only ordered pizza and wings and it took an extremely long time to come out. We had no silverware or even napkins at our table. Our waitress spent the majority of time outside smoking. When she returned from the patio to bring us our pizza, after smoking, she neglected to wash her hands. The atmosphere was not one that was meant for a family. There was constant cursing going back and forth between customers and servers that was completely inappropriate for my two and four year old.. Called in my order to go. Co-worker goes to pick up. Brings back said order to find out pricing online is wrong by about $4 an item and the food was wrong. Call to find out whats going on. Pricing she stated nothing they can do and will not honor the pricing online. Ok what about the wrong food and the lady said that she has it written down correctly but doesn't know why the kitchen made it wrong... would you like me to have re-made. I said sure we will come back to get. No problem. Not a minute later she calls me back to tell me that no I was wrong and that the food was made correctly and oh by the way we don't have said item so we can't make it the way you want. The lady is now rude with me and wants to tell me that I am wrong. Well guess what I don't have to come to your restaurant and I will not any more. Best of luck during these crazy times.
