Dante's of Ironbridge — Restaurant in Virginia

I have not had a good pizza in a while. And as such have been discouraged from anything in Chesterfield. Well, I passed by this place the other day and decided tonight was the night.

Folks, this is it, this is what I have been looking for!

I ordered online. The website on mobile worked perfect, no bugs, formatting issues etc. I knew exactly what I was getting. One thing I loved was that they have a special instructions area. Both of the main items I ordered had extra directions (listed bellow.) And they were followed to the T.

My order was a tester order. 1x Small Cheese Pizza (Well done) 1x Calzone -Ham, ricotta, garlic, broccoli (Extra ham, and extra extra garlic, well done.) 1x Cannoli

The Pizza was perfect, great taste, crispy how I had asked. (I dnno, I wanted it crispy today. Next time just to try we will have it their way. Either way, It scratched the North East Pizza itch that I been having.

The Calzone was top tier. Now when you ask for garlic in most places you do not get more garlic. And often times it is that cheap paste or such. These folks nailed this order so hard it was a home run and then some. Sorry for whoever's windshield they hit a block over. But, it was outta this world good! Thank you to whoever prepared this order you should be proud of the work you do! (FRESH GARLIC!)

And the cannoli was fantastic, crisp sweet, and not gritty like some are! It was what was needed to cap this all off.

The price was great!

When I went to pick up I was glad to see the business doing well an hour or so before close. They had people eating in and picking up as I was. I tell you what, I like the atmosphere, I would come have a slice or so inside!

I did not catch the staff's name that I interreacted with on check out. Though he was friendly, quick, accurate, and was a pleasure to work with for the short time I had.

I placed an order for a extra large pepperoni, around the hour mark the young man arrived with a cheese pizza which is not what I ordered. My hungry child had been waiting patiently so I was offered by a female who was representing the manager a "free pizza" if I took the pizza delivered. When I called to redeem the free pizza I was told it was for a free topping which didn't make sense. The whole pizza was only supposed to have 1 topping and was incorrect. I would have made the driver return with the correct pizza if that's all they offered. I spoke with a Male representing the manager who told me at "least we ate". I informed him of his rude statement and chose not to purchase at that establishment again. No pizza place has ever offered a discounted topping and spoke so rudely. I have also eaten inside the restaurant prior to this order, the male manager Sal repeatedly made me uncomfortable(lots of unnecessary winks and hun/doll statements) while the waitress/attendee stood in front of the order area speaking to coworkers and her young daughter with no help to our table. The food is yummy and the portions large but they have no people skills.

Wow!!! Since moving down here a year ago, I found most local Italian Delia's to be cheap, uninspired fabrications of what they claim to be. Dante's is the real deal. Upon entering first thing I noticed was an extremely clean dinning area. Once at the counter am was greater with friendly service and a bounty of true NY style pizza options ranging from cheese to specialty pizzas. Each looking better than the last. I didn't come for a slice but couldn't resist, nor was I disappointed. It was the legitimately the best slice I've had in a year. Crisp thin crust with a semi sweet sauce with the perfect flavor of cheese. But like I said, I came for a sub. I got the chicken parm. It was excellent! Healthy portion made with quality ingredients. On my way out I couldn't resist the desserts. There selection of cakes are amazing, but I had to take a box of jelly filled cookies.
