Thought this was more of a casual restaurant, but it leans more toward a fast food chain, not that there's anything wrong with that. With the way the outside looks with their displays, it's only 1/2 the size it appears outside. Once walking in, you have a straight shot to the counter with a few tables and chairs littered about. There is a kiosk where you make your order and pay. It's kind of like using an app on your phone. They have a pretty good selection of items to choose from. I got an order of beef bulgogibuns, ramen soup, pork broth, and added shrimp tempora. When ordering your soup, you have a number of broths you can pick from, which was nice. It comes with an egg, corn, and edamame. From there, if you want any protein or add ons, the price starts to jack up. My order with a glass of water was $25! Crikey! That was before a tip. The food was made fairly quick. They call your name, and you walk up and get. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and poured us a cup of iced water. The bulgogi buns were tasty, but the meat was mostly fat, I ate one and threw the other away. The soup was good. I didn't think it was amazing or anything, I would get it again. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I will come back. The prices were a little steep, where I could go 2 mins away and get Pho, with 2 shrimp rolls for...
Read moreSurprisingly disappointed.
I ordered the chicken ramen, spicy garlic soy wings, and the pork chashu buns. The chicken ramen was the most disappointing part of the entire order, so much so that I'm leaving the entire few with a 1 star. The noodles have obviously been sitting around somewhere and plopped into the ramen when the order was created. When I opened the container the noodles were so solidified together that I struggled to separate them and had to eat the ramen noodles as a clumped up circle shape from whatever container it's been in all day. The broth had nothing memorable and lacked the depth that so many other ramen places have achieved easily for a cheaper price. Sadly enough, the egg in the dish was the best part and I'm glad I ordered extra because I would rather eat the egg itself than finish the rest. Spicy garlic soy wings were okay, but nothing great. I was so put off from the ramen that I didn't finish even half of it and couldn't be bothered to start with the pork chashu buns from fear of further disappointment. Overall, $35 for barely eaten absolute rubbish.
As a side note, staff were very nice and the reusable bag is great quality. Wish the...
Read moreHad 2 rather unfortunate experiences/incidents. I don't like being "that person" but I follow a plant based diet. My first time here I ordered the shoyu ramen with no meat or fish cake. They assured me the rest of the meal was fine. It arrived with fish cake 🍥. I had to send it back and im sure they just plucked them out.
Second incident, today, I discover that the "non-dairy" cream used in their Boba tea has milk derivatives. I'm actually lactose intolerant to begin with and am fortunate that the tea didn't have a bad effect. The employee and I both looked at the cream, which is actually some type of powder imported from abroad, and although it says "non dairy", the ingredients clearly list a milk ingredient.
They need to do a better job of labeling their products on the menu. I can understand that the employee didn't know and didn't react angrily. More care needs to be taken... and I'm now uncertain whether or not the broths used are vegan. My trust and confidence in what they tell me isn't what I...
