A word about Thai Top Ten. This review is based on quality assurance. We called ahead to see if this location was busy. They were not, and when jokingly asking if they would like to be, the answer was an undeniable, “Yes, please!”
I told Am how many would be in our party ahead of time. When we arrived, everything was set up and reserved. The food was great and it came out fast. We were commended for calling ahead for a party of 11.
Am (pronounced Umm) was soon replaced by Kim? I think she said… anyway…
Kim? really ruined the experience for me. I was minutes from telling my whole party to get up and leave. Maybe because I was the youngest at the table she didn’t realize I was the one in control and I was moments from telling everyone to get up and let’s GO!
** She was professionally rude. You know, in a way that said, “I’m going to stop talking to you because you are probably not going to tip me.”
It all started when I pointed out the dirty and disgusting mold-like substance in my ice. When I pointed out the floating flat chunks of “black items” in my ice, she saw them clearly and told me it was carbonation. as if I was incredibly stupid!
As all my followers know, I have owned two restaurants over a period of six years before I sold them. The details of what this may have been and mostly was are described at the bottom. Ok, let’s continue.
She was rushing us and very condescending. Although I called 90 minutes before closing and expressed that we wanted to come with a party of 11, she was obviously ready to go home. With such a group, it brought in additional clients to a restaurant upon entering only had 2 tables full.
We were told how slow it was that night, and soon after we arrived, the restaurant looked busy with people coming in after us. Mostly because of us.
We were told to hurry up and order because the kitchen was closing. We still had plenty of time from their closing time to order. It was 9 pm when we arrived, and they close at 10 pm. I get it. But if that’s the case, maybe you should have told us over the phone that the kitchen closes at 9:30 pm. It was a first time experience here and good luck with asking questions. She didn’t want to hear it. I would have preferred Am as my server because at least he smiled and joked with us.
** I felt racially profiled. My end of the table got the very short end of the stick in this experience. We never met but both of us were food connoisseurs and social media influencers. Our end of the table was made up of two families, one being of Asian descent and myself being Afro-American. (6)
** Key points: Food was great Food was prepared fast Food came out hot
But if you are a person of color, you are probably not going to have a great time here.
Tired or not, this was not a good customer service experience for me. Considering I don’t pull the race card often, she obviously has made me put all my cards on the table.
Let’s talk about the hovering over me as i reviewed my 4 line check and took a picture to upload for business purposes as she stood there with her hand out. As you can see from the other negative reviews it’s not a real problem with the food but how a female employee is very rude and unprofessional. We didn’t have to spend our money here but we choose to support a family owned business. Customer service is everything. If it’s met with opposition and “we are never wrong or the problem then you will alway be they place known for good food, with filthy ice and a rude attitude.
What are the black specks in restaurant ice? Dark brown or black flakes can occur when the non-stick coating on your ice maker begins to flake off. If this is happening, it's probably time to replace your ice maker.
Why is there black stuff in my ice cubes? If the water lines are old or damaged, they might be releasing particles into the ice. Ice mold and components: It's possible that there is a component within the ice maker, such as the ice mold or related parts, that has deteriorated or is...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to grab a bite to eat being that we were in the area and exhausted. We've been a few times before and have always had a great time so we figured we stop in for a quick bite. Upon entering, we chose our seat as usual, and was able to order shortly after being seated. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrées. To our surprise, we noticed customers who came in after us receiving their meals while we were still awaiting our appetizers (which was just 2 orders of the fresh rolls). Finally after waiting about 15-20 minutes we received our entrées and 1 of our appetizers. When I mentioned to our waitress that we were missing 1 of the appetizers, she looked confused and her demeanor instantly changed. Despite me being polite and using manners, she rolled her eyes and walked off. She returned midway through our meal to drop off the missing appetizer and even after I thanked her, I received no response. She walked away and didn't return again until it was time to drop off the tab. Thankfully there was a guy working who saw that our glass was empty and refilled our drinks for us but at this time, we had already finished eating our meal. We paid our tab, tipped our waitress and left. After this experience, I don't think we'll be returning to this location. We just didn't feel the nice/friendly/warm welcoming that we usually experience here. Although the food was good, it seemed as if our waitress didnt want to serve us/be bothered with us. I'd also add that her demeanor towards others was nothing like how it was towards my husband and I. The restaurant wasn't even busy so I'm unsure as to why she treated us the way she did but treated the other table differently. For the $60 my husband and I spent, we should've received...

Pineapple Fried Rice with Beef: 5.1/10 A decent dish overall, though both the beef and rice were slightly on the dry side.
Appetizer Platter: 6.1/10 All items were well-cooked and crispy, especially the spring rolls. The addition of a variety of sauces could further complement the range of appetizers.
