Dugout Bar and Grille — Restaurant in Virginia

We live right down the street from this place and have been driving by it for almost 15 years period other than here in my story from my wife about her and her girlfriends going in there one night to sing karaoke when they were hammered that was about the extent of what we knew. Through The Years they've added a patio and I've seen to have cleaned up the place. We've been telling the kids that this summer that we would take a family walk and go check it out. Everyday as we drive by we see that they have some sort of special taco night, Burger night spice shrimp $0.70 wings since everyone in the family has a big burger person we decided to try it out last night. It was pretty packed inside it's definitely a little hole in the wall joint. Not very big but they have a very large bar and maybe 7 to 10 tables inside. We sat down we were greeted by one of the bartenders and she was super super sweet. We chatted for a while and she took her order. We all got some sort of variation of a burger I got when I called The Works which was cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mustard, mayo.. my son got a fried egg and provolone cheese my daughter did a Fried egg as well and my wife was kind of a plain Jane just got a cheeseburger. They claim it's the best burger in town, not sure about that but it was pretty good. My son and I got a side of onion rings, my daughter got potato wedges and my wife got French fries. I thought everything was pretty tasty, although I thought the potato wedges were the best out of the bunch later on I did hear someone order tater tots so I might try it those next time. It kind of has a biker bar type feeling to the place but everybody was very friendly the decor inside had lots of softball type of wards in neat little knick-knack decorations. They do have a little side room with a couple of video slot machines and a bowling video game. It's called The Smokers Lounge they have a large stand up air filtration in there but it was pretty smoky in the lounge. This place has amazing staff and a good friendly, warm, welcoming atmosphere. It's a place where you can come be yourself and have a few drinks and a lot of fun! Also I must say, karaoke with "Luke" is AMAZING!!! You can come out and sing all your favorite songs old and new and if they don't have it they will get it for you! I gotta say Luke is backed by one of the best in the business none other than Anne Marie and together they are a great team! If you are looking for great karaoke in Richmond and amazing, down to earth, friendly people to give it to you then karaoke with Luke or Anne Marie is the ones to give it to you! The Dugout has amazing staff, also including Kevin for karaoke when Luke isn't there and Big Jay serving up all your favorite drinks! They also have some very delicious food to include some to die for burgers! To the person who wanted to bash Luke and Anne Marie that reviewed before me...you need to develope some taste since clearly you have none or you just can't handle the best!! Not sure what all the good reviews are about or if I took the wrong entrance. Me and my friends, who are not picky at all, could not last more than 15 seconds past the door. The place was dark with a few drunk old guys at the bar, no ambiance at all and the stench of cigarette was unbearable. Agian, I may be wrong but you should check for your self. Now, we stopped by on a Monday evening and they may have not been wearing their best colors for such unpopular hour and day. It may be a different story on weekends. But I would not waste my time...
