Cavalier Manor Motel — Hotel in Lakeside

So a friend stayed here a few weeks ago and told us it was decent for the price to check it out. Well this go around a group of us come up and we got 3 rooms. Two of the rooms were fairly nice. Our room was horrible!!!!! So we were all sitting and talking in one of the nicer rooms relaxing. We weren't loud or partying. I need to go to the store so me my wife and our two friends walked down to our room to get my wallet and the keys. We walked in the room and as soon as we did the phone rang. I figured it was one of the other friends calling from their room. I answered the phone to hear, "how many people are in your room." (Keep in mind this dude can hardly speak any English what so ever) I said excuse me? He then says, "how many people in your room 1,2,3,4." I said you mean right now, yeah four. He starts rambling about how only two people could be in the room and no this and that. I hung up the phone and walked out to go to the office. This guy comes running out the office door in an aggressive manner yelling how we couldn't have a party and stuff like that. I told him look dude we ain't having no party we ain't gonna be loud we were just relaxing and hanging out. He proceeded to carry on in a very disrespectful manner. I finally got upset and told him I was being disrespected and that wasn't gonna fly. I told him I was a grown ass man and unless their was a policy preventing it or we were bothering someone he could go to hell. Then he starts yelling at me that I couldn't swear. So now being very heated I told him last time I checked this was America still and I fought two wars so I could say whatever the fu** I wanted. He got even more irate telling us after we stayed that night to never come back. After some time I cooled down a little went to the office and apologized being the bigger person. Before I could finish he getting I'm sorry out he's was already babbling that he was sorry we wouldn't have no problems from him and all this crap. If this place caught fire I wouldn't piss on it to put it out!!!!!! Worst experience ever! Super unprofessional! It goes to show you get what you pay for I guess. Sad thing is at first we were going to always come here and tell our friends as well. Well worth the extra few bucks to go...

First impression of this motel was that it looked sketchy. The price was very cheap though so we still chose to stay. For a NON.smoking room, the carpet was full of cigarette burn holes. Cobwebs on the ceilings. Dead bugs on the window ledge behind curtains, dead bugs in the floor, and killed couple of live bugs that night. Old fashioned window air conditioner in back window turned off and on all night, hot for awhile then cold. Motorcycle gang partied in parking lot just outside door, riding through parking lot and revving motors, as well as hooped and hollered ALL NIGHT LONG! No hot water next morning, only cold water. Owner notified at checkout, and seemed to care less mumbling that he could check the water heater but by that time we were over it and just...

Management lets son play BASKETBALL AT 10:00-PM SOUNDS LIKE BALL IS IN YOUR ROOM! NOT GOOD FOR SLEEPING .THEY CLAIM FREE WI-FI BUT IT DOESN'T WORK MOST OF THE TIME.COUNTY HAS LEASH LAW BUT NOT ALL GUESTS KEEP DOGS ON LEASH WHEN YOU COMPLAIN THEY POINT TO A SIGN THAT SAYS NO MONEY BACK SO THEY DON'T CARE .I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS MOTEL AGAIN IN HENRICO/GLENALLEN .VIRGINIA. TOILET NOT FLUSHING TOLD MANAGEMENT THEY HANDED MY WIFE A PLUNGER AFTER DAY'S OF PLUNGING MANAGEMENT FINALLY CAME AND SNAKED DRAINS.
