Dunkin' — Restaurant in Virginia

I had to have my morning fix while out of town. This location was the closest to me so I decided to stop in. I almost passed it as the location is a storefront and I was looking for a standalone. LoL!

As I walked in, the common area was vibrant, spacious, and super clean. I got my usual coffee (XL Hot Original Blend, Cream, 3 pumps Butter Pecan, 2 pumps French Vanilla, 1 Splenda) and a Grilled Cheese add Bacon.

Though I drink Dunkin daily, this cup was different, in a good way. The roast was peak perfection and the flavor profile was spot on with the flavor to coffee ratio. As most can imagine, though I get the exact same order, different locations can yield different results, however… this was a perfect cup of coffee.

The Grilled Cheese was spot on. The cheese was melted and oozing and the bacon was meaty and not overdone. Truth be told, this is also one of the best Grilled Cheese add Bacon sandwiches I have had from Dunkin. This location must make all their orders with love.

Areas of Opportunity: When I walked in there was no one at the counter. A customer who was seated had to tell me the young lady went to the restroom and would be back shortly… I would suggest a sign as I was confused upon entering.

The Donut cases were dirty at the bottom and though they are on wheels, it looked as if they hadn't been moved in a while for the floor beneath them to be swept or mopped. Though the common area is clean, as the cases are within eyesight, it was unbecoming to see the accumulation of dirt and dust.

Overall: Great Coffee. TRULY Great! Great Sandwich. I would visit again when...

The lack of customer service here is of epic proportion. Its so mind blowing all i could do was laugh. Heres the story....I went in because i was craving a blueberry donut and maybe more. I walked up to the counter and the young lady walks up while checking her phone and didnt say anything. So i inquire about the blueberry donut and she just shrugs her sholders. So i laugh because im caught off guard she did that, then she begins to explain that she doesn't know anything about the donuts, she only comes in in the morning and make them some times. All this happens.... while NEVER MAKING EYE CONTACT with me. She is still on her phone!!! I laugh more because at this point im thinking im being messed with. I try to push threw and ask one last question, how much are the apple fritters? She says $1.95 or something close to that. At this point im laughing and trying to talk but doing more laughing than anything because I've still yet to see her face! I couldnt take it anymore and i just turn and walk away, on my way out she asks, and this is verbatim, " whats wrong, they too expensive for you?" I laughed out the door because honestly i was too shocked to be offended! That will most likely be my last...

This is my "home" Dunkin and Ms April has taught me the Dunkin way of making coffee so I know what it should taste like. I go everyday (I know! I have a slight addiction🤭😫) so the staff knows my my coffee order. Honestly, they feel like family because they ask about and love my Grandbabies when I have them with me. The rest of the team: Cat, Juliana, Jay, Capelton, Elijah, Jody and Bri...they are all wonderful as well. Now...the food. Most of Dunkin's breakfast sandwiches are amazing, my favs are the bacon, egg and cheese wakeup wrap with chipotle sauce and the chicken pepper wrap. When I first started visiting almost 1 year ago, there were two other workers who had very nasty dispositions which made visiting uncomfortable. Things have changed since they left. What can I say?
