I purchase a Take Out Groupon that entitled you to $20 in take out. The Groupon was valid until April 24th. I called and ordered take out totaling about $25 tonight, April 1st. I wait the 30 minutes and go to pick up and found a polite server to retrieve my order. I clicked redeem on the Groupon on my phone, which states that there are no returns after viewing the bar code to redeem. She took my phone to the manager, Charlie, who spent the next 5 minutes at the bar talking to her about it. She returns and states that the manager refused to take the Groupon. I told her that I would like to speak with him and he approaches after a minute. Charlie proceeds to tell me that he changed his mind and no longer wants to deal with Groupon because they are hard to deal with. I explained that I had already paid money for the Groupon and redeemed while standing there to pick up my order. He tried to say that the Groupon was only for dine in and not take out. The title of the offer is "Take Out: $20 Groupon." He then says that Groupon made a mistake and that there should have never been a take out option. When I purchased the Groupon there were multiple options for both take out and dine in. I tried to reason with Charlie and let him know that I wasn't going to take the food and would never eat at their restaurant again if he wasn't interested in making it right and he smiled and said "Sure, OK." I responded that I am a retail store manager and any manager knows that this is not how you treat a customer. He once again smiled and said "You talk to Groupon about a refund." I responded, "You're going to send me home without food, throw it away, and forgo any future business with me as a customer, and refuse to honor an offer that you provided because you changed your mind and don't want to deal with Groupon anymore?" He simply smiled again and said "Yea." I said, "Well what about all the other people out there that purchased these and come in until April 24th to redeem them?" He jokingly responded, "There aren't that many more out there so that's fine." I left disgusted without food that I could have easily paid for but I will not support a business that treats a customer like garbage and laughs about their loss because they changed their mind about an offer they promoted. I wish I could say they were playing an...
Read moreThe sole good thing about this place is that it's attached to a hotel, so if you're staying there, you don't have to go outside.
I was there for a conference, and several of us went to dinner here. Out of 8 people ordering different things ,the only halfway decent item was the French Fries. Everything else was fairly tasteless, which is impressive with that kind of variety of food.
The service was ridiculously slow, the staff seemingly annoyed there were customers to serve. We had to request things we ordered several times to actually get them, and the same with the check.
There are several decent to excellent restaurants in the area. Make the effort to leave the hotel and find them. I rarely give one star reviews, but this place...
Read moreWe went here because several other places we tried were so busy you couldn't get in. We had been here years earlier but never with a group of 7. I called and the guy that answered said he could accommodate us so we went. That same guy was running the whole place alone - bar and restaurant! And supposedly his wife was cooking the good. While his demeanor was a little off-putting, he did take pretty good care of us considering all he was trying to do. Our food was hot and tasty, though one of our friends didn't get her food until about 10-15m after we got ours - her order was somehow missed in the original order. But she said it was worth waiting for, so that was a relief. We would go...
