Kayla was very helpful and patient answering our questions as we walked around all 4(!) floors or furnishings. It was a lot to see.
We ended up coming back for an item Kayla originally helped us with. We choose to pick up from warehouse and assemble ourselves. I have put together a decent amount of furniture over the years and some things are easy to follow and are pretty much common sense.
Pick up was easy and painless. Assembly was unfortunately not as easy or painless. First upon checking items to make sure it was all there, there was some items with chips and scratches on them. These are minor, artificial and mostly on the bottom where no one will see unless they are laying on the floor. Then when checking through the book on hardware making sure all the screws were there, I noticed the HA and HB were labeled wrong. The sizes and amounts were switched with what was in the box and on the paperwork. Minor issue, but you can tell a short screw was not long enough and the long screws were too long for those pieces.
I start assembling and get the legs on and notice the pieces on hinges for the desk shelf were lined up weird, I was following directions and assumed (my bad, should have stopped and checked more into it) the directions were right. The directions were not. No matter how I viewed it, number 2 and 3 were in places that they were not assigned to in the paperwork instruction. However after getting halfway through, it was impossible for me to place shelves since the hinge part they sit on and screw into were on the side and not where the shelf sat. We had to disassemble the whole thing and switch the legs around so 2 was in area marked 3 and vice versa. In the end, one hinge that the shelf was suppose to sit on was not molded far enough back so the screw could not fit into the holder and secure the shelf. 3 out of 4 were holding it, but designed for 4 seems like I should be able to use it.
If we should have gotten the delivery and assembly purchase as well, would they have given me another box that the item fit together correctly or would they have had the same issue, I don’t know. The store was wonderful and friendly, the warehouse was nice and quick. The furniture for that brand might have just let a few imperfections go through. Think we will just second think the furniture from that...
Read moreCurrently I am not very happy with you all. I just recently bought a whole bedroom set including mattress set and couch. When I received the bedroom set they only bought in the dresser and night stand. They delivery guy said the mirror never came and the chest was damaged. Waited almost a month, got the dresser however the top was damaged. The waited forever to get that replaced, then they damaged it more trying to replace the top. Few days after I got an exchange and it wasn't a few minutes later one of the drawers was broken. I am not happy and so far the sales manager has not called me back. I have spent thousands of dollars there throughout many years and this worse experience ever.
Update: Manager finally called back after I had to recall and leave another message. So Mr. Mike Whitehead didnt leave a message with her to call me back. Seems like he just cares about his comission. Once again I have to wait to have another one sent to be replaced again. (4x service call) offer me $60 dollars off from what I paid back on my account. I guess we see from there what I do next Update again: So apparently the sales manager failed to put in another exchange and place notes that I should get the credit on the account. She just left a service ticket on the account. Just now called corporate office and her manager supposed to call me back. I'm so shock of the horrible customer service with Grand. My family been customers for years and have spent thousands of dollars. This order may not be as big as the others but there is no sense in this!
Another update: So after a complaint from corporate the sales manager finally place the exchange order in and the credit. Now the waiting game we see what happens when they bring the 3rd replacement.
Update again. 6/1/21 They finally brought a non broken chest of the product that I ordered. Now I'm still waiting on the credit that was promised.
Update 6/20/21 They once again failed. Didn't get the full credit as promised and now the dresser not holding...
Read moreHave you ever walk into a place so elegant that you immediately stand up straighter or better yet, felt like you like you just got knighted by royalty? That was my experience stepping into this furniture store. It’s got class, it’s got warmth, and somehow it’s both regal and nostalgic with hints of contemporary styles. It’s like if your childhood home and a five-star hotel had a baby.
So I came in last Friday because I just wrapped up from a job interview. So I had time to check it out and see what this store had to offer. So my curiosity put me to go see for myself. From the moment I walked in, I was met by a wonderful staff who were warm, kind, and genuinely welcoming. They didn’t just nod and point me to a showroom—they embraced my curiosity, answering all my questions and leading me into a great conversation that turned into an impromptu tour of the grand furnishing showrooms. And let me tell you, this place isn’t just selling furniture—it’s curating an experience.
Then, there’s the smell. Oh, the smell! It was like a fresh, warm beignet straight out of New Orleans French quarters , with just a hint of whiskey-bar-in-the-summertime energy. And just mentioned that aloud and a worker with crutches walks up to me and—boom!—she’s actually from New Orleans! At this point, I’m convinced this place isn’t just a furniture store, it’s a carefully crafted dream sequence.
The staff treated me less like a customer and more like a neighbor, the kind you’d actually want to invite over for dinnerZ And that’s what stood out the most. You can feel that the employees take real ownership—not just in how they treat people, but in the pride they have for the furniture and the space itself.
If you’re looking for more than just furniture—if you want a place that feels like home before you’ve even bought anything—this is the spot. You’ll leave with more than a new chair; you’ll leave with a great experience (and possibly a sudden craving...
