Great Wall Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Virginia

Very good General Tso's chicken. It's the way I like it, nice and tangy. I do not favor overly sweet dishes, and this was tangy and savory with a hint of sweetness, not cloying at all. Some previous reviews remarked on the oil that gave it an "odd flavor," I would remark that it tasted to me as if it was cooked in a very well seasoned wok with some toasted sesame oil. The "breath of the wok" when I opened the package was delightful, you could smell the tangy goodness all through the house. I loved the rich added flavor of a well seasoned, heavily used wok. I am definitely coming back with my wife, I think they are the current king of the local Chinese takeout scene. The fried rice that came with the chicken was great on it's own, moist and flavorful with plenty of veggie bits. It was done very quickly, and I was able to sit and wait in the cold at a table. I hope one day they are able to reopen their buffet, I'm sure it is very enjoyable but right now (curse you Covid!) they have limited seating and about half the store is closed off for social distancing reasons. I have eaten the lunch buffet at this restaurant several times over the last three years, I would easily say 40+ times. Prior today I would have gave this place at least 4 stars because their food is delicious. After today though I will never be back. First, the food on the buffet was COLD. Not warm, cold. I don't know if the buffet is broken, but the last time I ate there I noticed the food wasn't hot. That however is not my biggest complaint. after getting my plate I went to wash my hands before eating, I go to the ladies room and there is a Preparation H tube on the sink and NO SOAP! I ask the lady working, this is not the normal lady, about soap and she said the owner knows and said he said it was fine there was NO SOAP. Mind you this place is directly adjacent to a Family Dollar. I also said the food was cold and she again said it was okay. I was absolutely disgusted by the COLD food and the thought of someone using hemorrhoid cream in that bathroom and not washing their hands. I will never...

So far I have tried to order delivery twice from them. Yesterday, 1/10/17, they said they couldn't deliver at all and today said that they couldn't deliver till 9pm. It is currently almost 4pm and I find this distasteful. Why even bother having a delivery service if you don't seem to deliver? I will update later tonight on how the food is. I hope for their sake that it is good.

EDIT : They delivered my food at 8:30 because I called again and asked if they could come earlier than 9. I ordered Curry Chicken and Spring Rolls. The Spring Rolls are amazing and so is the Curry Chicken. I wouldn't have thought they could redeem themselves, but they did. Amazing food. Only thing is it was delivered by an 8 year old boy.
