Health Trail Natural Foods — Restaurant in Virginia

Spoke to Heather the item I normally purchase was out of stock. So she ordered it. Spoke to Mark the manager and he assured me it would not be much longer before the iten came in. Three weeks later the item still hasn’t arrived yet over two months ago I ordered the same item that they sell, I requested the item in the past that they sell when it was sold out, except this time the item never arrived. I asked to speak to the manager Mark. He was rude this time telling me sometimes items take longer and there is no way of knowing how long total outside of how long I have already waited for the item. I did not want a substitute item but rather the exact same item I purchase all the time from this location. When I asked Mark to allow me as a customer to share my feedback on the process of awaiting for the item to ship and how Health Food Trails never reached out to thank me for my patience and assure me they appreciate my request and business and to continue to wait until the item showed up. Instead several months and no product. Instead of allowing me to speak my feedback he said he didn’t have time to listen to me as a customer and hung up the phone. Staff is friendly; place smells like every other health food store (patchouli?) They have some of the typical health food store stuff...a million different supplements, bulk food items...but not enough food-allergy-friendly items for my needs. They can special order items, but that means you already have to know exactly what you want...so if you just go in looking for dairy-free pudding, or soy-free bread on any given day, you may be out of luck.

I will still be trekking off to Norfolk to Organic Food Depot because I can see and search through a wide selection online, and place an order so I can get exactly what I want. At Health Trail, there is no way to view the various products that they can order for you. It's a shame they are missing out on the food allergy market, which is (unfortunately) growing...
