Pride & Passion. That’s what you taste and experience as soon as you walk through the door at Jadeans Smokin Six O BBQ. My Fiancé and I were greeted by Amy at the register and told her it was our first time there. She was beyond helpful with suggestions when it came to deciding what to order. Their menu has a wide variety of options when it comes to utilizing their smoked meats. Sandwiches, Appetizers & Meat platters galore; there’s something for everyone. We landed with getting their Smoked Brisket, Smoked Chicken Thigh Sandwich, Smoked Mac & Cheese, Baked Beans, Onion Rings and their Coated Fries. Everything was perfectly smoked, delicious, and it was some of the best baked beans I’ve had! I will say, the brisket was a little on the dry side for our taste, BUT the smoke flavor with the sauce was perfect. But what’s going to keep you coming back is the customer service. You truly feel at home and welcome by all of the staff. The owner (Janet was her name I think) personally came to our table and thanked us for coming in. We left with an apple turnover (BEST WE’VE HAD) Brunswick Stew and Banana Pudding made to order to take home. Will have reviews for those later. We highly highly recommend, from 2 restaurant...
Read moreWe won't be eating there again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they just can't supress their curiosity. The hushpuppies and onion rings were great, but the brisket was just average, and the service was almost nonexistent. We ordered the family pack and it was brought out in a to-go bag. The lady looked at us, confused, and said that usually the family packs are to go, but that she'd bring us 2 paper trays so we could eat there. (No one told us it was to go when we ordered at the counter.) And that was the last service we received. Our iced tea was gone well before we were done, and yet we continued to be ignored. I guess because we were not supposed to be eating in the restaurant? I don't know why we tipped 15% if we weren't even going to be offered drink refills. Even as other patrons were being offered drink refills, we'd be glanced at, and again, ignored. Considering the average food and less than stellar service, eating there was definitely not worth the price we paid. A waste of a...
Read moreTucked at the far edge of the Tuckahoe Village Merchant's Square, it's not the most obvious place to spot from the road, but it is well worth the visit! We tried to go a couple of times during the summer to discover they were off site at festivals, so I was delighted to get there yesterday. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a side of smoked mac'n'cheese. The pork was superb. Beautifully cooked, moist, and the right amount of smoke to give it that mmmmmmagic. The coleslaw added the texture (could have done with a tiny bit more IMHO, but others don't care for it, so that's just a preference thing), and together with a little of the recommended sauce (the slightly spicy one), a taste sensation. The mac'n'cheese was on point too, complimenting the sandwich perfectly. The ladies working there couldn't have been nicer too. All in all, well recommended!! And given it's only a mile from my house, I'll...
