Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Virginia

I often frequented this restaraunt and was there recently and had the most deplorable interaction with one of the employees. I went in as I usually do, got in line as there were others waiting to be served. I was asked by female employee (black) "Are you here to pick up?" I responded "No. I am here to place an order. I want the number 8". At that point she stood there (appr. 5-6 seconds). I then said "I'm here to order thinking that she didn't hear me. She then said "I heard you. So you can save all of that extra for somebody else" I then responded and said "I'm really going to be nice today" Meanwhile she was still making comments and remarks. She never asked what type of bread or what size I wanted like they always do when I come. When I got to next assocaite who was dressing the sandwich, he asked me what toppings would you like on the sandwich. I looked at he sandwich and replied to him that " I wanted a footlong on wheat and with everything including sweet peppers and bacon" Unfortunately, the associate had to go back to that same female and tell her that this wasn't what I wanted. That same female turned and said "He didn't say that he wanted". I said "That's totally untrue. I also stated that you never asked (like they normally do) because you were too busy ranting like you're doing now." She responded "Im NOT the one. Don't play in my face" At that point I just gave up. There were lots of other customers in the restaurant, two of which she looked like she bonded with and was slightly encouraging her behavior. She spoke to one by saying "hey girl'. Which lets me know that she was familiar with and that she was extremely comfortable with this type of behavior. Up until this point I have gone to Jersey Mikes hundreds of time throughout the years. I am responsible for scheduling corporate events and have used Jersey Mikes many times before in the past, but will NOT be seeking service from them anymore. The sad part is that all of this took place during what normally is only a 5-7 minute interaction. I called to another Jersey Mikes local store, spoke to a store manager who took my information and was advised that he would pass my information on to his district manager. I also called to Jersey Mikes customer response line, left a message and submitted a written request online as well. I received a call back from a female who promised and advised me that I would receive a call back from the store owner. That never happened. Anybody who plans to eat here or buy from here, be prepared for the disrespect and abuse that comes along with it. I managed to record the last part of the interaction of this associate but...

Clean place, as usual fresh food & toppings. 20 mins for a reg size buffalo chicken sub my hubby ordered was a bit more than just "slow"...be realistic if someone comes in here and there's only 8 people in the building, 3 orders Infronta us...then being on lunch break wouldnt seem risky, right? But apparently it is here.

Also, I got a regular turkey and provolone with L, T, P and no other sauces etc but I did get oil/vinegar. That girl put so much on my sub you would think she was putting a dog gone fire out. Soooo yep, here I sit while the hubby eats his "took too long" sub " still have half of mine...cuz it takes like vinegar bread.

Why do I always feel like doing the right thing and tipping people for service they should provide anyways as part of their iob? PLUS I end up with unwanted or unreasonable complications on top? It's like when I go to Bojangles on Staples Mill and hear the intercom voice say back "ma'am we don't have any chicken!"

Today is the day that I reevaluate tipping from where I already cut down on how much to probably nothing here on out. People spent a lot of money on food made by other places now, I just feel like businesses forget that. Think poor pitiful CoVID us....well what about poor pitiful...

I have been to this location before a while ago and things were great but this particularly time this past weekend was absolutely terrible. When I walked it seemed like a couple of the workers looked like they didn’t even want to be there. One girl with red hair had no apron on while on the slicer making sandwiches and she was loud complaining the whole time. The other worker didn’t even have their shirt buttoned up and was dressing sandwiches without an apron. Which definitely wasn’t sanitary. They were both being loud complaining how hit it was as if customers weren’t standing right in front of them. What was the worst part was the entire time I sat there eating (maybe 20 minutes) they continued to be loud and cursing as if they were the only ones in there WHILE THERE WAS A CHILD IN THERE ASWELL. The other workers were just fine and seemed visibly annoyed by them for obvious reasons. This was absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. The food was fine but those 2 workers made the...
