I've lived a mile from this location since 1990...well they weren't open yet then...but I've been eating there since they opened. At least once a week. Always happy... especially since the last year I get off work stupid late every night and I'll roll up to order a cheesesteak when they're like 5 minutes to close and they always make my food. From 2012 to 2017 I lived in Montpelier and sorely missed my Jersey Mike's home store. There's one in Short Pump that was about 40 minutes from my home, but it was never the same. Now I'm back living at my grandma's house/garage and I get a sammich at least once a week if I can get there before they close. Apparently I eat there often enough that now the fella that usually takes my order already knows what I want and has almost remembered my unusual first name. They're often super busy and I have zero issues waiting. I usually stand leaning up against the counter in front of the fountain drink dispenser...and get completely in the way. I'm usually getting off working all day at a veterinary hospital...bruised, scratched, covered in various body fluids AND solids, been on my feet literally all day unless I'm squatted down to draw blood or restrain an aggressive dog. If I sit in one of the bar stools out of the way I may not be able to get back up...sorry guys! I know I'm probably in the way, but you might have to scoot me out to my car otherwise.
Thank y'all for making my one meal per day most delicious...
Read moreI took a hiatus from this store because I whenever I would order online, my sandwich would come out wrong (things added that I requested to be removed, things I requested to be on there left off, etc).
I decided that it must be the way the orders come in online. So I went to the store today and ordered my sandwich. Because of the type of sandwich it was, it needed to be made in the back and they would bring it out to me when it was finished. I request that they remove certain things and add certain things. I watched the gentleman who took my order write down these specifics.
I got my sandwich and drove back to my office and, lo and behold, it was made as if I hadn't said anything at all. It may not seem like that big of a deal. To me it is though for two reasons: 1) I paid for my sandwich to be one way (the way I like it), and it is reasonable to expect that it should be given to me that way. 2) I typically only eat two meals a day. So this poorly constructed sandwich ruined half of my meals...
Read moreJersey Mike's Sub shop is the best place in Richmond to get a real tasty sub anyway. The employees are very friendly kind and helpful. This is the best way to get a sub. They cut the meats & cheese and fix your sub anyway you like. Their food is always fresh and delicious. The vegetables are very fresh and healthy. If you want a good sub, then I would definitely recommend this sub shop 100%. They have take out or dining in whichever you prefer. They give you the choice of 3 or 4 different types of sub rolls you can ask for. What I love about this place is they cut meats & cheeses and prepare your sub with all the fixings right there in front of you. Very clean and a really good atmosphere to dine alone or with...
