Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Virginia

I visited Jersey Mikes in Gainesville Va. on Oct. 10 about 6:40 pm. I had been there a few years ago but swore I would never go back. I needed a quick bite so I gave it a try. I ordered a club sub on white. I head the young man say it was their last loaf of white. That should have told me something. I paid and went home . My first bite I knew I shouldn’t have tried it again. The sub role was hard as a rock. Definitely old. When I did bite down hard the role just crumbled. I was so mad I wanted to take it back. I live less than a mile but will never go there again. In addition I will spread the word in my local community. This place will not make it if it continues to...

Update 3/26/2019, things have fit better, sandwich is made with sufficient cheese and meat. A mini #6 with chips and drink is over $10, kind of pricey compared to other similar places.

Update 12/18/18 staff has changed and quality of sub is down, past two visits I got only 2 half slices of cheese and not enough meat to cover a mini sub, last time got just one slice of cheese and very little meat. I frequent the place often, enough to have 1000s of points. If you are going to charge a quality price the product needs to match.

Jersey Mike's has been a staple for years. Started noticing a decline all around at my usual stops; skimping on meat, lackluster employees, dirty eating area, dirty and poorly maintained restrooms. I had almost relegated myself to settling for Subway. Stopped into this location on a detour from my regular route, having read positive reviews. Been here multiple times now, and found it to be consistently like my old favorites. Good portions, clean, and the employees are terrific.
