The lads and I used to hit this after 18 holes at a local course. First off, the food is what is to be expected of an establishment run by Colonel Sanders-great. However, due to recent covid complications, their dining room had to be closed for a short time, as many other establishments did. This put a temporary damper on times with the boys as we were no longer able to partake in fine chicken churned out by the cooks and loaded onto the buffet line. Gloucester KFC was just not the same. As time has passed, many other restaurants have opened their dining rooms. However, I regret to inform the reader that this location is yet to do so. For this simple reason, they have still earned a very impressive 4 stars. As the days pass and over 2 years has gone by, I yearn for the glory days of the Gloucester Kentucky Fried Chicken more than ever.
EDIT: I'm writing this as of March 8, 2022. I have heard an abundance of rumors circulating regarding the possibility of the KFC dining room reopening! I was very excited when I heard of this possibility as I would love to soon return to the buffet! Can anyone living in Gloucester confirm this? Over 6 months have passed since my original review, and again, revisiting the buffet line would be incredible! As soon as I hear word on this, I would be more than happy to give this establishment a solid 5 stars. Thanks in advance!
EDIT Number 2: I bring all Gloucester residents great news! I have just gotten off the phone with the Gloucester KFC and I can confirm that the dining room is open as of 9 January, 2023. Its been a long time coming, but I am pleased to announce that I do in fact have verbal confirmation of this! Now I as assuming that this means that the Buffett line is open as well? Anyways, catch me at KFC of Gloucester everyday this week filling up that plate with COL....

The server automatically added a bottle of water. I asked about it, and she said it went with the combo. I said my son would rather have something different. That was no problem, she replaced it. What I didn't notice until I got home was that the combo came with mashed potatoes with gravy. My son doesn't like gravy, and the potatoes were smothered in it. Had I been asked , or if I had realized it came with potatoes I would have asked they leave the gravy off or give him potato wedges. I also found out he could have had his popcorn chicken in a $5 fill up box, but that was not suggested to me. Next, I asked for 2 lg. containers of coleslaw. I was given 2 black/clear lastic containers that were maybe half full. I have noticed the Styrofoam containers have gotten smaller over the years while the price continued to go up, but I am fairly sure I got way less in the new plastic containers. We have decided that we will never again go to KFC for our coleslaw. Therefore, we n9 longer have a reason to go...
