The first time I tried this place out, the service was quite poor, but I almost forgot about it when I tasted my bagel breakfast sandwich. However, today I went back and experienced both poor service and poor food quality. The girl who took my order clearly didn’t actually take it because about six people who ordered after me got their bagels before me. She seemingly disappeared and I then asked another employee on the status of my order. That employee then went to get who seemed like a manager and we had about a 30 second exchange… shortly after, the young lady who took my order appeared with my bagel, so I was happy. Unfortunately, both the turkey sausage and cheese were cold! Like literally didn’t even try to melt anything. It seemed like it could have been somewhat warm like 30 minutes prior and it just cooled off as it sat. Overall, I was extremely disappointed. Waited like 20 minutes for an inedible meal.

This is the best bagel shop in town. Their bagels are huge and delicious, they have so many menu options, and they do well at all of them. Breakfast sandwiches are substantial and tasty, and their lox is no joke - they don't skimp on toppings! Highly recommend. If you go to Manchester Bagel and the line is long, don't be scared. The staff and their kitchen is a well oiled machine. Even when the line is to the door, you will get your precious bagels without an unreasonable wait. Order line on the left, pay/wait line on the right. It's so worth it!

Service was good but they really skimp on everything between the two halves of the bagel. Look at the bacon egg and cheese. That's a poor looking bagel. Just buy the bagels here and buy your own cream cheese it'll be cheaper. Bagel shops normally make majority of their profits on bagels anyway. I'm from New York so, I have high standards when it comes to bagels. I have to admit Manchester bagels are good. They taste like Brooklyn Bagel in Astoria, New York but much smaller. Not as good as Utopia bagel in Whitestone, New York.

I never thought I would be making this review to this place. Since I was very little I've been coming here to get my breakfast sandwhich. This morning my mom and I decided to get two blueberry bagel original classics with sausage but when we opened our bag it was raisin instead of blueberry. Of course as any human being I was annoyed. So I called them to reclaim that they made mistake on my order and they told me to come in and they would give me a new one. I went driving to Manchester bagel even though I was already late for work and walked in and told them I'm here for a new order. Not even 5 seconds later I have the manager yelling at me. "WHERE IS THE OTHER SANDWICH YOU ONLY HAVE THE ONE" I was in shock not even letting me speak first I was trying to explain I was here to get MY ONE sandwich. Instead the Manager (Mike the son of the family business) kept listening to his worker instead of focusing on the conversation with me which was suppose to be the most important thing. While I was trying to explain. This manager cursed at me and started a big scene in-front of everyone. He in the end didn't consider my feelings and made me cry in front of everyone. Over a sandwhich! That they messed up in the first place! Instead of focusing on the fact I've been a loyal customer for so long they treat me like this which was GARBAGE. I always had the wife and husband attend me but this son they have (the manger now) was the most disrespectful person ever! In the end he was trying to blame me for everything when I was just trying to switch my sand which. They made me feel like I was trying to steal from them saying I just wanted to trade the one sandwhich for two new ones. They lost loyal customer who have been coming here for YEARS! And keep in mind I was always here buying from them...

Last visit for me. I’ve been coming here for years. All of a sudden, I made my normal order, toasted salt bagel with roast beef and lettuce, tomato onion, and cheese.

The guy working the desk looked young and knew, but took my order. All of a sudden, the older woman rudely said that he needs to know that it’s not on the menu. So I swapped the roast beef for the pastrami Not my favorite, but OK. I will say for a young kid he did a good job taking the order. I just wasn’t happy with the attitude of the checkout woman.

When I went to check out, she wanted to charge me for the entire Pastrami sandwich Plus, all sides, lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese for extra. I said that I’m swapping these out for what usually on your pastrami sandwich. She said “no no. Is extra”

Then I said you don’t have the roast beef anymore for some unknown reason and I just swapped out the meat. There shouldn’t be any additional charge. Just for swapping a meat. Plus, it could considered a substitution for all the cheese and onions and things that were on the pastrami sandwich. Either way there should be zero extra cost.

Nevertheless, I told her that I didn’t want the sandwich anyway at extra cost since it wasn’t roast beef. I have decided I will find a new bagel place. They were Amazing roast beef sandwiches on the salt bagel. I wish they had them still and didn’t play...

The DC area is not much known for good bagels so we were excited to try this place out.

Bagels: We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and then a half dozen bagels to go. Delicious bagels were chewy and tasty (plain and everything were our sandwich choices)! The egg and sausage were also nice and hot. We were super pleased and excited to pop those extra bagels in the freezer at home for quick weekday breakfasts.

Service: This is where I'd dock Manchester their star. The ordering/payment system (two separate lines forming) is not super clear first-timers trying to figure it out. The staff stared blankly at us and offered no direction. The other hiccup re: staff was when we asked for a small cup to pour milk from the large bottle we purchased for our toddler (spacey mama forget the sippy!) they balked and almost didn't. It was a weird vibe that I cannot explain.

Bottom line: The bagels were good enough that I would definitely stop in the next time we are in the area. Don't expect overly warm and friendly service but if you're simply there for the food, it's...
