I went to "First watch on May second with my family on friday May 2 2025. It was a wonderful memorable experience. We called ahead and made a reservation so we were seated quickly in a nice comfortable booth. The atmosphere was lively. The drinks are delicious. They have four signature fruit drinks and I tried all four. The purple drink was a little too sweet for me, but that green drink that had kale in it was nice and tart. The red drink was tart and tangy and had ginger in it for "bite" . And so that red drink is my favorite along with the kale drink. The yellow drink was the pineapple express. And it's okay, more sweet than tangy and tart.. For my meal I had the "trifecta" which is a large multi grain pancake scrambled eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage. I asked to have 2 pancakes instead of one and I asked to have bacon. The meal was delicious. The pancakes were light and fluffy as a pancake should be, so much so, that after I added warm butter and syrup to it the pancakes would occasionally leave crumbs after I cut into it. That's how you know its light and fluffy in a good way. It tasted soo good like a cake made on a pan, it has a distinctive homemade taste. The syrup is their house syrup but you can ask for maple syrup at extra cost, but it tastes good either way. The bacon i had was hardwood thick cut bacon and it was well cooked just right. The eggs were scrambled and they put garnish on it. It tasted delicious. This restaurant might seem pricey to some but I personally do not think so. I spent about 100 bucks on my family of 5 but I felt it was worth it: I got good food, great customer service, where the server and the manager came by periodically to check if we were enjoying the food. They were polite, friendly, and courteous. I dub this location, and the Woodbridge location, as the best breakfast spots to go to in the Virginia DC area.

Overall, the food is good and the place is great for families. For those who follow my reviews, I only review places that actually serve good food and are worth a visit. That being said, if you are looking for something extraordinary, First Watch is not that. Don't get me wrong. The food is good and you will enjoy your meal and walk away with a happy full belly. They also have some creative twists on breakfast favorites. But given all the press I was reading about the new location, I expected more in terms of flavor explosions. There are not alot of diners in the area so I understand why this place is popular. But if you were looking for a more memorable breakfast diner experience, I would suggest Executive Diner on Duke street. Now that place will make you want to lick your plate clean. For similar tasting good food as First Watch but slightly cheaper, I would suggest Bob and Ediths or Silver Diner. Yes Bob and Ediths is a very traditional diner but the food is always good and hits the spot. Silver Diner is closer to First Watch style food but is open all day long.

UPDATE: We tried again and this time we were able to get a table within 30 minutes. The manager apologized for the inconvenience we experienced last time. The food was excellent! Specialty coffees that make Starbucks look bland, savory corn bread, and a variety of entrees that got everyone excited. This place still seems crowded and while the staff are extremely polite, they can sometimes be hard to track down. I still think they need to find a better solution for surge capacity or move to a traditional reservation system, but we will likely go back after the crowds die down. ORIGINAL: Their reservation system needs serious improvement. My family and I waited for over 2 hours for a table and they gave it away because I only had "2 minutes" to respond to a text message. What a joke.

Good food, unprofessional staff and environment. I went here with my family for a Father's Day breakfast the Saturday before Father's Day, so I understand that it would be busy - and the wait certainly reflected that: we waited more than 30 minutes for a table. When we asked the manager about sitting outside, she told us that there were no tables able to accommodate 5 diners, yet when we were seated inside, they pushed together two tables (4 diners + 2 diners) - the same was possible outside.

The manager and staff at the desk did not greet me when I arrived: There was no smile, no "welcome," no greeting - they just stared. The manager in particular never once smiled and just looked constantly stressed, like she didn't want to be there. In fact, NOBODY who worked there looked like they wanted to be there - the only people who even smiled were our waitress and the cashier when we paid.

We received 2 wrong orders. My brother-in-law was given a similar order, but without the side he ordered. As he was cutting into his meal, a member of the wait staff showed up and took the plate from him without explanation - we had to ask for her to tell us that he got the wrong order. When they gave him the "right order," it was wrong: greens instead of potatoes. They brought a separate plate of potatoes later. I myself ordered the Market (vegetable) hash and my father ordered the Farmstand (meat) hash - but the waitress took the wrong order and we ended up with two Farmstand hashes. They were good, but it was not what I ordered.

One of the members of the wait staff (the one who brought my brother-in-law's incorrect meal the first time) later stopped me mid conversation to hit on me, asking me about my personal life, asking me whether or not I traveled to Los Angeles recently and if I work out at LA Fitness. It was weird. It was uncomfortable. And it was incredibly unprofessional.

When we left, we discovered that the waitress had put our drinks on some of the other seats, so in splitting the check, the cashier had to ask a senior member of staff to help her. That senior member looked INCREDIBLY stressed and her facial expression of annoyance when the cashier described to her splitting the check was very evident (right in front of my mother and I). Unprofessional.

The staff all look miserable. They look either overworked and/or underappreciated - or they all hate their jobs. The manager in particular looked miserable, and having a member of the wait staff hit on me was disturbing.

The food was good, so I'm willing to give this location a second chance since my parents really like it. But if the service and atmosphere are even remotely close to the experience I had, I will never return to this location or any First Watch...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Come join my husband and I and all guest to the First Watch – Manchester Blvd, Alexandria, VA

🎈🎈Hi everyone, follow me over the yellow brick road and across the ---- rainbow --- to this spot and feel the happy energy all have at the First Watch Manchester Blvd... ------- The manager Anew is what all leaders/teams would call outstanding in her desire to ensure we her guests feel like we are at a second home.... I love it there how every team member is willing to speak to all and with such honor and respect... 📍📍My husband and I just had the most amazing breakfast this morning! The atmosphere was cozy, and Amanda (our server) made us feel right at home, and the food—wow.... The manager Anew will make all feel welcome and will ensure every guest has a great experience!! She has an amazing spirit of kindness, and it's reflected in her teams. The restaurant is clean and well organized with Anew at the helm! One can tell the entire team takes pride in ensuring all guests leave happy. 100% rating we give this restaurant First Watch on Manchester Blvd.

📍📍📍I had the traditional meal that was truly exquisite, and it was hands down the best eggs with a hint of green onions (just right)! 📍📍One can ask for their bacon to be cooked well done and the kitchen staff is always so accommodating. Last week was the first time at 📍📍 First Watch and we were so impressed. We planned to go back to that location and did so today... 📍📍Now when you visit First Watch and this location be ready for a nice cup of hot delicious coffee or whatever your drink choices are instantly.... We enjoyed the coffee so much and it was brewed just right...... When one arrives, there is a beautiful, spirited server Amanda (at the breakfast bar) (I know right) nice......... Another amazing server that the manager identifies her as Ms. X.. Believe me every server is extraordinary, and one will have a great time...... What service this is fitting for royalty I exclaim with joy. Go tomorrow or whenever possible and see for yourselves how great these teams are.... The teams will greet all with warmth and one will feel valued. They are knowledgeable and attentive to their skill sets, the menu or whatever questions a guest has....

In conclusion and a marvelous experience for sure: It's rare to find a place that gets everything right, but this one truly delivered. Highly recommend for a memorable and quaint nice morning or lunch experience for one or the...
