Food is good, and the special on baby back ribs at $19.95 was reasonable. The pick-up option needs work. Nice that they have 3-4 parking spaces reserved for pickup. Not nice that no text option is offered in the outdoor signage (if one made the order by phone), and the phone number listed has issues. The phone number says push "1" for pickup, but in fact the call went to a general operator, who then put me on hold for over 4 minutes for the right person. I gave up and went inside in my decidedly unfashionable gym clothing. Good that I only had to wait a minute or two for someone who could take my credit card and hand over the food. Not as good that I first had to pay for the order and leave a tip or not, and then the server who just got a tip or not disappeared and was alone with my food, hopefully without a grudge and criminal food tampering inclinations if I chose to not leave a tip to pick up my food.
If you wonder whether Firebirds really does attempt to "make things right" as they promise in their response--they do! We were able to visit again, this time inside, and we had a nice experience. We had wonderfully presented salads and a nice Campari Spritz. The place is still brand new, so not flaw, but my wife noted that outside there are just cement poles, and no pots of flowers or anything. I am sure with time they will get to that, but not immediately critical when opening a restaurant...
Read moreWelcome to our neighborhood. I made a quick and small lunch; I was curious about the ambiance. At the door, we were greeted by three different hostesses, all very polite and smiling. The weather was nice, so we wanted to sit in the garden. The marble table was very functional for its size, and the chairs were comfortable. The lady waitress took our order meticulously. We had onion rings and burgers. Both were amazingly delicious; in fact, my wife couldn't finish the burger as it was so large. The prices were quite normal for a steakhouse, especially in these expensive times. The interior was very clean, and the ceiling height was quite nice, making it spacious. However, it felt a bit too dark for that time of day. The bar was packed, and the cocktail menu looked good. There was a large bottle in a corner of the bar, I think it was pineapple-infused tequila/mezcal. The first impression was very good; I will bring my guests next time.
As a restaurant owner myself in area, I can appreciate the hard work and dedication it takes to create such a pleasant dining experience. Congratulations, and I wish prosperity to everyone from the owner...
Read moreMy coworkers and I went for happy hour on a not so busy Wednesday evening. One coworker ordered the lemon drop martini to start. It was very watered down so when the waitress asked how they were, we told her. A manager approached our table to inquire about the issue with the cocktail. He then gave us a dissertation about how "they cant be watered down because they don't contain ice" but "maybe it's the lemonade" blah blah blah and "we dont make our drinks strong" blah blah blah ... FINALLY, he hesitantly had the bartender remake the drink which in my opinion should have been the first thing that happened.
The remade cocktail was still bad but to avoid complaining about it and hearing a second set of excuses, we told them it was better.
I also ordered the filet oscar style.. the filet was ok but the Oscar topping was warm on its way to being cold. No bueno!
The service was strange because the waitress couldn't recommend anything in the menu because she was "pescatarian "... but there were pescatarian items on the menu... hmmmmm
We'll stick to our usual HH spots.... Yardhouse and Mikes American. Never...
