We used to order from this Marco's location frequently, typically 3-4 times per month. The past 8 months or so it has gone absolutely downhill. We had a pickup order at one point that quite literally took an hour and 15 minutes from the order time until it was ready. The amount of toppings have dwindled, we've had very inconsistent food as far as taste (and sometimes being way overcooked), but this past pickup is the last time we will be ordering from Marco's. We got a pizza, cheese bread, and my wife ordered one of the Pizza Bowls. The Pizza Bowl had its own pizza box, which I thought was weird, but it was what it was. I picked it up, put it in the car, and went home. I get home and into the kitchen and my wife and daughter noticed I had grease all over my jacket. It was all over the carpet, our entryway, my shoes, everywhere....I open the pizza bowl, which is more like a pizza tray, and there is literally no lid on it. They utilized the cardboard pizza box as the lid of the tray. Whomever had the idea that you have a tray full to the top of cheese, toppings, which equates to tons of grease, yet think it's perfectly ok to not put a lid on it, is completely idiotic. Grease goes right through cardboard....my 6 year old even knows that. So now I have a completely stained jacket since the grease won't come out in the wash, not to mention the fact that our carpet is now stained. I absolutely cannot recommend Marco's, at least...
Read moreSo I decided to order a XL Pizza (by phone) the "Sausage Magnifico" tonight and told the store employee exactly how I wanted it. Well as soon as I brought the pie back home I noticed that it was missing it's main ingredient (the sausage) and the strange thing is they got other parts of the order correct (i.e. toppings like green peppers, mushrooms, & the garlic dipping cups) but the white onions were also missing (since I was starving I wasn't going to drive back and return it) Instead of sausage I got chicken in it's place (Now I don't how one can confuse the two proteins but they did). Lastly overall I've received decent service from this location before (with no issues) so I'm not going to be overly harsh in my critique of tonight's customer service. Having said that since this pizza pie had cost me $29.93 (not exactly inexpensive) I expected better attention to detail so please whoever the manager is of this establishment make sure that whoever is taking the order etc pays attention to what they're doing ! Now even though mistakes happen w/ inflated prices being what they are please pay more attention to detail and not rush the job - when the employee over the phone said that it'll be ready in ten minutes I thought that was a little too soon. Unfortunately from now on when I pick up a pizza in the future I'm going to have check (and be overly vigilant) it's contents before I...
Read moreLiterally the worst Marcos in existence. My previous experience with the brand is in Tennessee where Marcos was always the best option above other popular pizza chains. They would make a pizza exactly as requested every time and it was always amazing. THIS Marcos on the other hand must require employees to have a lobotomy as a prerequisite to work there because they cannot facilitate any requests whatsoever and is such an embarrassing deviation from the brand I knew before moving back to northern va. They can barely make what’s on the menu with accuracy, but any other of the many customizable options they offer? FORGET ABOUT IT. What’s more is they don’t care - will literally tell you they don’t have time for you. At best, all they ever do is offer a coupon so you come back. But it just baffles me every time I want a simple double old world pepperoni pizza, I can never get it. They always half the portion even when they said they would “do it no problem” over the phone. Sorry DoorDash and your terrible app don’t facilitate the standard of service your brand was founded on. I only eat here occasionally because the pizza is good but when they consistently refuse to make it the way you most like it, it leaves a bit to be...
