This review is for the service received only. Today was my first and last time at Mezah. I am so disappointed with the service I received today. I walked in after my gym session and the employee named Maria was making a bowl for the patron in line before me and my friend. When it was my turn, I asked for a chicken bowl. She starts my bowl (adds the rice and the kale) then sets my bowl to the side. She informed us that the chicken wasn’t ready and began to prepare meals for the next patrons in line. I said okay then stepped aside to let the other customers through. The chef lets her know that the chicken was ready and she acknowledges him and rings up the patrons she was helping. I’m thinking she’s going to come back to finish preparing my meal but instead she begins to prepare 3 online orders. My friend and I wait a few minutes then we mention to her that the chicken was ready and asked if she could finish preparing my meal. She became frustrated and stopped preparing the online bowls. She sighs loudly, grabs my bowl, adds the chicken to it, sets my bowl to the side then walks away to finish preparing the online orders. At this point, my friend and I both agree that we’re being purposely ignored and are feeling a bit unwelcome by the poor service. So we just walked out. I am not sure why Maria was so bothered by us. We were the only people left to tend to and she was blatantly refusing to serve us. I can’t even explain why. We were not rude, we never raised our voices at her and the place was not busy at all when we arrived. I can understand being frustrated at work but I don’t understand taking it out on your patrons. I was really put off by my experience today and will not...
Read moreWe always ate at the Fair Oaks location and loved it. Were excited to see a Centreville location close to home. Sadly, we were extremely disappointed on both our visits. First, the food was not fresh nor very tasty. The rice was undercooked and the meatballs were old and moldy. The overall bowl on both occasions was very underwhelming. Both mine and my husbands. The service was ok. I worked retail for 20 years and the rule is always to take care of the customer in front of you, not the one calling. The guy at the counter started my husband's bowl and was also doing other online orders causing us to wait there. It wasn't cool. two guys and both were handling online orders while we were secondary. I took the time to drive and stand in front of you, so take care of me first. Your food needs MAJOR overhaul in taste and freshness and your counter guys need to be trained to be more customer...
Read moreThey didn't put rice in my bowl. Half the reason I order Mezeh is for the rice or I would be dining at sweet green... I also had spinach and arugula, and I maybe only got 5 leaves of spinach. THEY ALSO gave me cold Falafel in a separate container. I ordered online at 8:30 and they said it would be ready by 8:47. I arrived at 8:45 and waited until 9:10 to get my food. I could have just ordered in store and gotten it before that. there ONLY 1 other person there and my order too over 20 minutes to make while I was there. So I am absolutely livid that I got this bad of service from a GRAND OPENING Mezeh. I cashier who gave me the bag of food was "double checking" what I got also and said everything was there, when actually 5 ingredients were missing from the entire order. Because of COVID I prefer to go home right away. Not excusable... not even a busy time that I ordered the...
