After eating at 'Pho Duong' Restaurant a few times it's about to give a review. The restaurant is simple and small without much decor. But it looks clean inside and is organized. My husband and I usually ordered the Pho noodle soups we tried several bowls already. They're tasty and satisfying. I ordered the Beef Stew with Egg Noodles. It's good. But even better with the other noodles. Husband ordered 'Pho Fatty Brisket, Tendon , Tripe'. He loves Phos with meat and portions are very generous for the price. We had 'Summer Rolls with Shrimp' it's okay, the sauce is very sweet to me. Also Bubble drink with mango and boba is delicious. Overall the service is quick, food tastes good and fresh. The restaurant is usually busy, gets loud, especially when they're using the blender to make drinks or children get cranky. There's not much space between tables either. It's a place to just eat or pick up your order and not spend too much time talking. By the photos you'll see which dishes we tried out. Many Phos dishes are similar in the description when reading the menu, but they taste different. You can always customize your own.

Update: we found feather or fungus growing out of basal or cilantro. When we mentioned it to the waiter, he just took it and said nothing. Then we found hair in one of the bowls. Clearly, it wasnt our. This place was packed and had lines going out the door and for a good reason. This place is good. The wait time was pretty short and this place is baby/kid-friendly. I am somewhat picky about pho places but glad I found this place. The food was very good and the gentleman taking the order was extremely nice but quick too. Their large size pho is quite large only for $1 more. I say this as someone who can handle bigger sizes but they were very generous with the noodles and beef that I almost couldn't finish it. The rolls are fine. The vermicelli was good with a lot of sauce on the side. The Thai ice tea was delicious for me, not too sweet but just right.

The Pho soup is very good. I got 18a small while my husband got 20 large. 18a is the combination soup that has all the beef, meatball, tripe, and tendon. The Pho is packed with sliced meats, but they only give you one price of tendon, tripe, and meatball which is a bit disappointing. The service left more to be desired. Not because they were rude or anything, but because we were left largely ignored. There were parties that got there when we got there and they finished eating and left before we even got a chance to order. It was about 15 min before we got a chance to order and it was because we were finally able to flag the employee down. There were parties that got there after us that were able to order before us. No idea why this was the case, but they weren't too busy at the time. We got there around 2pm.

Food is good, but the service is not. They use foam cups instead of regular cups because they might be too busy to clean them, but those cups sometimes get dirty inside and around the lip area. And their tables are always dirty. I understand it's because they are so popular and too many customers come in, but they at least need to maintain the atmosphere and cleanliness if you're at least "serving customers". Too unhygenic.

And they have no respect for customers who come alone. Those customers need to literally sit together with strangers like they came together as a same group, and no respect for personal space. I understand we sometimes need to share the same table if we get busy, but even if we need to share them, waiters should at least notify customers who were "already sitting there first" at least to provide some spaces between each group and to not feel uncomfortable eating at their place, not "forcing them immediately" to eat with strangers without notifying them another party will come in and share the table. I wouldn't want to get suddenly surprised or distracted while eating. Eating right next to a stranger while breathing their bad breath and perfume, and hearing their unwanted conversation right next to my ear is really gross, especially during covid and flu season.

When I felt kind of uncomfortable and only just gave a few seconds of glance to the stranger right next to me (and I have the right to do that with my own eyes and this reaction is natural for everyone), she would outrage asking what's your problem and we would literally fight. You wouldn't want your customers to fight each other and feel uncomfortable, where in comparison, it's actually supposed to be a happy and comfortable place, right?

This should be a very rare case because I NEVER in my life had to talk with strangers customers at restaurants other than servers. I barely experience any restuarants that I would need to actually deal or interact with other customers because of seating and spaces, other than telling servers what I would want to get for my food. There's normally NO REASON for you to communicate with strangers in those places same as a reason for not picking up unknown numbers when you get a phone call. What would I want from them and what would they want from me? Go to nearby Pho Hoang instead. Never...

Will NEVER return. Ate there once and a bit of a wait, didn't think much of it. Returned yesterday May 24, 2022 and it wasn't very busy. Approached the waitress and she said have a seat. I sat down and she took a food order to the door. When she turned around just looked at me and rolled her eyes. Usually when you are seated immediately a menu and small bottle of water is brought to the table. Not one but 4 different parties came in the door. Not all at the same time. Initially I thought this couldn't be happening maybe I'm misinterpreting, NO they literally sat a table to my left directly across from me. In front of me to the right of me literally served menus and water and Completely ignored me. I approached the waitress and she, turned her back to me , ignored me and started taking an order on the phone. When she was done I asked "is there a reason I wasn't being waited on?". She proceeded to act as if she didn't know I was there and asked where I was sitting and just smiled and said "Oh, yea So sorry". I left.

I'm in my car and few minutes later the manager approached me asking if I wanted free food and that they were really sorry and it shouldn't have happened. I refused and told him this was a very disheartening experience.

I'm sure that the first time/ visit the delay wasn't happenstance. The blatant racism is disappointing. The hostess/waitress is despicable and I'm sure she told the other waiter to ignore me to. There is no logical way you seat four tables surrounding and next to me and not notice.

My color doesn't wash off. My dollar doesn't have to be support your business....

I am a regular customer(used to be since I am no longer gonna order food from them) I gave up my hope on this restaurant. Lately my orders were all take outs either i picked up myself or orded via Ubereat. Every time I order I asked for cilantro because if you don't ask they do not give. Lately, at least three times i order phos via Ubereat, even though i asked, there was no cilantro and one time they finally got me cilantro, it was rotten( it was really bad like someone intentionally muddled cilantro) Yes it was that bad:( I have also experienced a couple times that the soup container was not closed completely and soups were spilled all over in the take out bag. I have once ordered 6 orders of phos for six people but they only put a small bag of vegetables inside. I know that amount of vegi is normally for one person cuz I've ordered from them many times!!. It seems that the restaurant staffs do absolutely not care about customer service. Trust me. This is my first time ever writing bad review on any restaurant. This is how much i am upset. Horrible experience so many times and I am so done with this restaurant. The owner should read this and think of ways to improve. Your food is great but not your customers service is. If Lotte has no fresh vegetables, You should go Giant to get them. If Giant doesn't have fresh vegetables, you should go to H-mart to get them. It is your restaurant that you run and those supermarkets not carrying fresh vegetables should not be your excuse to provide rotten vegetables to...
