If you are thinking to order delivery on DoorDash/Uber eats from this restaurant , think twice! I have been delivering food as a side hustle for about as long as some of the more popular food delivery gigs has existed. Since, most restaurant have adapted to these companies delivery standards, but not Moe’s in Gainesville!
I walked in the other day at the time I was supposed to pick up an order and one employee was sitting in the back staring at her drink cup, and the other was tending to 3-4 customers in line. Guess what, no delivery order was even thought of. Instead let’s put 1 of 2 employees working on break at 12:00, the heart of lunch. When I asked the girl that did not even speak English sitting on her butt was there anyone else working to prepare my order, she went to other girl that barley spoke English to cry to her that she needed to come off her undeserved break…the restaurant had only been opened for 2 hours! The other girl began to yell at me in very broken English, “you can cancel the order, it’s no ready”! She was yelling this right over the top of customers heads. I told her to calm her voice down and take care of customers first then we’ll talk. Still acting hostile, she checked out her customers. I then told her this order was already 5 minutes late and they have not even started on the order. She replied “your order is there” as she pointed to an empty dressing station and grill. I said my order is where? She then began to yell at me again in her broken English that she would not give me my delivery order.
I could continue because it got worse, but the point is, do not order delivery with this restaurant! In the end, I demanded that she gave me my assigned delivery that ended up taking 20 minutes over the time that DoorDash said it was due for completion. Bottom line, do not order delivery from this restaurant because these likely illegals somehow being employed in this restaurant conducting business with no management present, will get to your food whenever they...
Read moreAttempted to place a large order online, however when it came time to check out, the system would not process and said there was an error and to try again later. Attempted to place the order online twice more before calling the store directly to make the order. The person answering said she needed to transfer me to the manager to place the order. When I spoke with him, he told me he was too busy to take the order and told me to order online. I told him that I had already tried 3 times and kept getting an error. I told him the order was large over $150 dollars so this may be why it wasn't processing. He told me he was too busy and to try online again, and then hung up on me. Needless to say, I will never order from them again; customer service is lacking. A more proactive manager would have apologized for my negative online ordering experience and then offered for me to come in the store and place my order directly. If I declined, then the manager should have offered to have me wait until he was able to take my order or offered to call me back. This would have shown he was trying to assist me. This would have been...
Read moreFood was ok. The chips were very stale. It has been years since I've had Moe's. I remember loving the chips and queso, so the fact that the chips were stale was disappointing. A couple cam in behind us, and they asked if there was anymore chicken. The lady said yeah, and scraped like 4 crusty pieces off the bottom. The couple said, oh you cant make anymore? And left because of this lady's attitude. Mostly my low stars is because the lady. I asked what the veggie option was and pointed to it in the menu display. She kind of huffed and acted like I was really putting her out. Walked away and came back with another guy. They acted like it was such an obvious question. Said beans and tofu. They didn't even give me beans. Such an off-putting attitude. I won't be back mostly because of the rudeness. The guy helped me carry all our food to the table which was sweet. (I had a baby, a toddler, and 2 other young kids with me). So...
