Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Virginia

The good: the quality of food is like your normal Moe's quality. Pretty good The Bad: the portions leave a lot to be desired. Noticeably less than other burrito places right around the corner. The price is high considering those portions. They add their own tip in for you. You might miss it if you aren't paying attention but a tip screen pops up and magically disappears really fast and all of the sudden your order costs like $4 more. And they just kind of get rid of the receipt real quick. Usually I like to give people an opportunity to give me the receipt because personally I hate when people ask me to do something I'm already gonna do. They don't give it to you, and before you can get a word out it's balled up and somewhere beneath the register. So now not only is order over my budgeted allowance ($20... Which is pretty high for lunch tbh) but the receipt I need is all balled up and I have to deal with an annoyed look when I ask them to...

Went with my kids. My 7 year old ordered first. She's tiny and ordered a bowl. She only asked for beef, rice, and lettuce. Nothing else. The rest of us ordered. When I got to the register, I paid for our 3 meals and looked at the receipt. I was charged for three adult meals. I told them she's a child and should have been charged for a kid's meal. They said she never asked for a kids' meal, that next time I should specify. It's been a while since I had been there, so my bad for not knowing that my little, very dainty, girl ordering her food still needed to specify that she eats a kids portion. My issue is with the cashier shrugging his shoulders and telling me I should've told them and when I pointed out that maybe they should ask if there are any doubts, he said it's on me to tell them. My family has been going to this Moe's for years. Unfortunately, in the last year and a half things began to change.... for the worse.

Moe Monday's were something we always looked forward to. Then they started optimizing and changing things.

Raised the price to eat beef or pork burritos for Moe Monday's. Price of soda went up. Took soda out of Moe Monday's deal. Put soda back into the deal but jacked up the deal price. Ran out of wheat wraps every third visit. Slow in refilling the free salsa bowls. Started putting less of the more expensive fillings when you asked for it.

I get that they want to squeeze more profit out of a system but these constant tweaks just drove us away. We only go there only one-tenth as much as we used to if that.

In any case, the other restaurants at the same plaza seem to be as much if not...
