My partner and I ordered takeout hibachi, which I'm glad was an option because (no offense) we weren't trying to see an entire show, just eat! the location was easy to get to, and parking was plenty. The interior, while sadly empty was like any other hibachi spot. There were empty soy sauce buckets under the waiting area, but not too much of a distraction. We were politely greeted, and told the status of our wait (we knew we arrived earlier than the food would be ready but didn't mind). I went ahead and paid, no problem. I feel awkward tipping for takeout, but because our food was being prepared live, it was not a problem. While our food was being prepared, we were given a status of our wait time (it might have been a little longer than what I was told on the phone, but we didn't mind). While we were waiting, the greeter gave us a complimentary water bottle which was unexpected and nice. The greeter and employee that spoke to us during our visit were both polite and friendly. We mentioned that we would be back, he friendly exclaimed we should return the next day, haha. Anyway, on to the food; amazing. We got an entree of steak and shrimp hibachi, and a child's scallop hibachi order. There is a notation on the menu that in oder to get a child's order it needs to be for a child that is 12y or younger . In my opinion, that shouldn't be a restriction for placing that as an order; some adults just don't like large portions. Anyway, everything was packaged nicely, portion size could have been a little larger for a regular entree, but the food was seasoned wonderfully, and tasted great. I appreciate that the fried rice included; broccoli, peas, carrots, and more, rather than just onion and egg. Overall the experience was great (so much so I took the time to write a review), and thus, we will be back, but just...
Read more12/28/22 The food and our chefs were great! HOWEVER, we had reservations at 7pm, arrived about 6:50pm and were told they were running about 10 minutes behind. No biggie, BUT we weren't seated until about 7:40ish and a little OVER AN HOUR LATER with nothing but a few appetizers (ALMOST 9:00PM), we finally decided to leave (after noticing the restaurant had pretty much cleared out as everyone else had eaten and gone). They only sent chefs to our table when someone from our party asked to speak to the manager. There was ZERO explanation as to why it was TWO HOURS PAST our reservation time before they even STARTED cooking our food. The manager initially wasn't very accommodating, but after one of our chefs went to figure it out for us, and amongst many complaints from our table, the manager finally offered free dumplings and a few alcoholic drinks (mind you most people in our party didn't drink). We tried not to allow this to ruin our night as we were celebrating a birthday, but this 2 hour delay (ON A WEEKDAY) meant people had to leave and missed cake and presents. All in all, food was great, which is why I didn't give this 1 star, but the service was...
Read moreSitting here now wondering how this place has good reviews. Had a 6:30 reservation. Just got sat... well part of the party. Other part is still waiting, had to explain they couldn't drop them to the bottom of the wait list. The table across from is said they've been seated for 30 minutes and the cook hasn't showed up. The girl who came to get our drinks had to go search for sushi menus. The guy at the front who took our reservation the other day is telling people it's a 20 minute wait while reservations are almost an hour behind. I hope the food is fantastic because the management has been awful so far. Don't be so incredibly rude as to tell me "it's alright" when your this late. 7:47, after a 6:30 reservation, the chef just got to the table. It's the host who overbooked and caused the wait... awesome.
Food turned out good, we'll cooked. Maybe a bit better than your average Japanese Steak House food. Certainly nothing wrong with it but not amazing either.
I would try it again but never with a large group or at a busy time.
The food brought this up to 2 stars otherwise it was...
