We saw there was a new sushi restaurant nearby and were very much looking forward to trying it out since we typically drive to Sushi Jin at the town center or Yama in Vienna for good sushi. I'll start with the pros: the restaurant is clean, staff is very nice, they have a great variety on their menu and the sushi was okay. We ordered four different rolls (sunset, dragon, volcano, and spicy salmon) and a couple sashimi. The sushi slightly redeemed itself from the other items we ordered. Cons: The scallion pancake arrived on a plate of brown/black lettuce. This was pretty shocking and gross. And for $6, you only get one pancake. It looked and tasted just like the ones I buy in the package at the grocery store for about $3. One of our sushi rolls had the avocado sticker in it. If the avocado had been washed, I would think they would take off the sticker. The miso soup (for $2.55) was not very flavorable and had a strong tap water taste - I had to add more salt to it to drink it down. The only dinner item we ordered was the Yaki Don. I was expecting it to the stir-fried like the menu said, but it came out kind of soggy and tasted very strongly of black pepper. I'm trying to decide whether I would come back and try some other items, but the experience left us feeling kind of disappointed. We really wanted to like it here. Most of the menu items seemed overpriced, and if I were going to spend $80 at a sushi restaurant again, I'd rather go somewhere that I know is of good quality and satisfying. I'm glad other people enjoyed this place, but this was not for me.

Good food but slow service. This is a restaurant in Woodbridge on the north side of Old Bridge Road in a set of shops right along the road and up a little hill. There is plenty of parking for all the stores at the center. There is a foyer with a counter but it was unstaffed when I entered. There is a sushi bar on the left, tables in the middle, and tables and booths on the raised platform to the right. The restaurant has a tile floor on the lower tables and carpeting on the raised portion. The floor did not seem clean. I was sent to pick up an order that had been called in for our party. I arrived a few minutes after the time that the food was supposed to be ready. There was no one at the counter. I approached the staff at the sushi bar. He took my name and told me they were getting it ready. 20 minutes later I was still waiting. The food was handed to me 30 minutes after I arrived and 25 minutes later than the time specified by them when we called. The food was good. The portions were large and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. Overall, it was a borderline 4 due to the long wait beyond the pickup time.

short summary: food is GOOD! (food over appearance), atmosphere meh. workers are nice. long summary: i saw the reviews on yelp was good and it was close by so i decided to give it a chance! as we entered, we were the only customers. my family and i were skeptical due to the absences and the lack of decor. the place was vacant and so was the welcoming atmosphere. it was like a ghost town: dim, quiet, and awkward.. however, our worries went away when the food was brought out! the sushi and sashimi was amazing! my little sister finished her giant bowl of udon and we even ordered another side of shrimp tempura after the first 2! the fish was fresh, we only wished they had cut thinner slices. the salmon was amazing. we spent a total of $95 for 5 people (excluding tip) so the pricing was fairly cheap and we had enough to bring home.

Decided to try this restaurant since they recently opened. My wife and I dined in for dinner for a birthday. The service very good and the food was spectacular and very fresh. The presentation of each dish was beautiful. I wish I took more pictures but forgot. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and clean as well.

We started with the tako su octopus and the softshell crab tempura. Tako su was pretty good but the softshell crab was amazing! My wife doesn't like softshell but she found this delicious. My wife ordered chicken and steak hibachi and I ordered a variety of sushi. They didn't have every fish (ex. Uni, etc) in stock but it wasn't a big deal. They recommended a fish dish instead and I cant remember what it was called but it was some kind of cooked tuna or mackeral (I think?). I'm so glad they recommended it because it was beyond amazing! The salad and miso soup is good. My wife really loved the Hibachi she ordered and I thought it was great as well. Every piece of sushi I got was so fresh and again....so delicious! They also gave us some mochi ice cream which was good too.

Everything we ordered we would order again but definitely want to try some of the other dishes too. The only regret is not taking more of pictures of the food. We will absolutely...

If you're a sushi lover in Woodbridge, VA, you absolutely must check out Osaka. This restaurant is truly a cut above the rest, offering some of the best sushi in the area at a price that can't be beat.

Let's talk about the quality of the sushi at Osaka. It's simply outstanding - the fish is fresh and expertly prepared, and the flavors are bold and nuanced. Whether you're in the mood for classic nigiri or more creative rolls, you'll find plenty of options to choose from. And the best part? The quality of the sushi doesn't suffer even when you order for takeout. The chefs at Osaka are true masters of their craft, and it shows in every bite.

But what really sets Osaka apart is their pricing. For the quality of the sushi you'll receive, the prices are truly unbeatable. This is a restaurant that takes pride in delivering a great dining experience at a fair and reasonable price point.

Whether you choose to dine in or order takeout, you'll be treated to exceptional service from the friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, making it a great spot to grab a quick lunch or to linger over dinner...
