Paddy's Public House — Restaurant in Virginia

Our waitress was the best the food is not good, I then was asked what’s wrong with it.... I responded and was told there’s nothing they can do about it.... which then I started crying like why did you ask me I already feel bad enough. the owner or manager came out like it was the servers fault,,, dude I have anxiety and this place shot it off.... you ask me what’s wrong with the food and I tell you... then I’m told that recipe can’t be the problem cause that’s how they make it....the steaks need better seasoning and tenderizing. The Shepard pie is nasty like I wasn’t expecting my dads shepherd pie but this was greasy meat an mashed potatoes that were nasty. Said it has vegetables but it only has carrots. So there shepherd pie is not what you expect lol they may have thought I was expecting my dads but there’s was so greasy like nast meat with little mashed potatoes covering yes baked and very little carrots in it it came out looking nice but was not good nor smell good, the recipe is fraud no one should enjoy the shepherd pie and no one should eat a steak that has not been tendered or with decent seasoning granted this is my opinion and review but the place is called a steak house with only one type of steak when you pull up it’s called a public house like your about to get a happy ending,,, the sign on the way I’m says no cuts no colors.... biker gang or not I saw no colors on that sign I swear to god it was only white people in there like I felt weird.. I would have came back but the owner or manager acted like it’s the waitresses fault... it was not!!!! Gordon Ramsay himself could’ve not have used their ingredients for the shepherds pie to make anything decent Please please get some help at your restaurant it has a nice atmosphere till you get told your food isn’t good I felt horrible I will never come back my anxiety shot through the roof usually when you say you’ll pay it’s okay you don’t get a argument but they swear it’s not the recipe but the waitress. ?.She did great the cooks need help and so do anyone who ask what’s wrong. Don’t ask what’s wrong if you going to say we can’t fix it cuase that’s your problem I’m so disappointed the only reason you don’t have one star is because our waitress was so nice... fix your shepherd pie recipe idc if it doesn’t taste like my dads but my damn dog didn’t even eat the leftover we took which we didn’t have to pay for so thank you but if my dog don’t eat it somethings wrong and if you make your waitresses cook the food for there table your wrong and the business won’t last much longer for sure if that’s wrong talk with your cooks it’s called a steak house online you should at least have a sirloin witch they didn’t and is as to why I got the shepherd pie so please now that I’m not crying you know the problem it’s not the waitress it’s the back off house good night edit I came back a year later the waiter was gone it was the same old people surprised the place is still in business tho the old lady was more nice that this time food was...

Last night was my third rime there,but my first karaoke night,and it was nothing short of a great freaking night!lol. The setup and presentation of the place is incomparable. The food is straight delicious! The drinks are strong and not costly. The staff is humble and hospitable Multiple monitors tuned to all sports for the day. The karaoke performances were some of the best I’ve seen.The talented and genuine young lady that hosted the karaoke (Jesse) Iis an undiscovered talent that without a doubt has a massive vocal range and command of the stage. The same can be said of Gary,who absolutely killed it all night long,especially with his cover of “Glycerin “ Between that and Jesse’s homage to Dolly Parton’s “Jollie” Paddy’s has a working formula! I’ve only seen the tip of thee iceberg,but as long as it’s in my control,I will undoubtedly become a regular Saturday attendant moving forward. Virginia is my new home,and Paddy’s is my freaking spot for life! The made me feel so at home and comfortable! Treated me with genuine love and kindness. John the owner is a sincere,stand up guy that has done well for himself and this great community! Everything Paddy’s has my complete support! God bless this place of peace,joy and happiness! So please,I implore any and all to come to Paddy’s if you’re looking for one of thee absolute gems that the great state of Virginia has to offer!...

Waitstaff is really friendly. Sheppard Pie is great. 610 Steak was meh, even with the onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Kids chicken tenders were meh. Tasted like they fried both the seafood and the chicken tenders in the same oil. Which if so then beware if you have seafood allergies. BBQ sandwich was good, according to my son, but said Mission BBQ was just as good. Negatives: we sat near the separate smoking lounge area and kept smelling cigarette smoke throughout our meal. The only upside to wearing a mask indoors was not smelling the smoke as badly. Also, there was this really, really, really, obnoxious older gentlemen with a Santa Claus beard that kept singing really loudly and ruining all the songs, mood, and comfort for most diners. We understand that karaoke night was going to begin an hour or so later but really didn't need his loud obnoxious out of tune warmup session for every song. This was way before the witching hour and before the dining would ultimately turn into more of a bar night. Would go back again, but maybe not with my kids and I guess before 6:30 pm if I do take the kids. My advice, tell the drunk obnoxious singer to quiet down during normal...
