We were up north for a school sports event nearby, and headed to McLean Family Restaurant. Saw Rocco’s en route and opted for this for dinner instead. So glad we did. We were seated right away, the staff were friendly and attentive, and patient with my children’s slow ordering. Friendly, family-like atmosphere. Sat next to two older gentlemen who turned out to be regulars (and brothers) out for a weekly meet-up. They knew the owner and told us a little about the restaurant. My eldest ordered pizza, I had chicken cacciatore, my middle son had a Chicago-style pizza, and my seven year old had a burger. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and meatballs as appetizers. Meatballs were large enough to split between the four of us, and mozzarella sticks were delicious. For dessert we had key lime pie and ice cream. Coffee was good. I’d get there earlier on a weekend evening to ensure you get seated and that they don’t run out of your favorites (from wine to spumoni). Had continued friendly chat with the table next to us, and my teen sons grabbed a menu and insisted we make the drive back from Stafford for Rocco’s in the future. Definitely a successful find.

We went today to Rocco's for my daughter s birthday, who wanted pizza. The staff were nice. The server who mentioned that just started working there was very nice. The food was really not good. The calamari had no flavor and were greasy. The wings (15) were okay but $33. The mamma mia pizza was too busy and no flavor. Even with the bacon, it did not have a taste. But wait, the worst was we just had the worst rum cake we ever tasted (picture attached). It was really bad. It had rubbery cream, which we thought were fruit that s how hard that cream was. A classic rum cake or Baba au rum should be just a moist cake soaked in rum syrup. This did not have any rum. It had rubbery dry cream patissiere and whipped cream. It will go on our books as the worst dessert, and guess what they charge almost $10 for it even if the menu says $8 something. But besides, how can you charge that for an inedible cake. Anyway, I loved the staff but definitely never coming back for a meal at Rocco's. It's very expensive and does not taste good! Pizza at Wiseguy is a lot tastier and worth the drive.

Updated! We visited Rocco's Italian restaurant after our Sunday hike to try their pizza. We ordered the medium-sized Mamma Mia and Baggio pizza along with Meatball Spaghetti. The service was impressive as the servers were young, respectful, and responsive. The food was served on time, and everything was well organized and clean. The mixed pizza and fries arrived first, followed by the meatball spaghetti. We loved the delicious taste and quality of the food, and the service was outstanding. Rocco's Italian restaurant has outdoor seating and ample parking space, making it a great location for gatherings and parties. We highly recommend this place, and we'll surely return to try something else from their menu. Thank you to the staff at Rocco's Italian for the excellent food experience and service on a sunny Sunday!

A friend and I came here yesterday for a well-deserved dinner and night in the town. I had actually had already been to this restaurant several times in the past, and I've always had a wonderful experience every time. Last night was no different. When we arrived there were only about six other couples already seated p,so finding a table wasn't an issue at all.we were quickly greeted by our Server, and she went over some of the promotions that they had for the evening. I almost cut her off mid-day because I already knew what I wanted to order. I went for the tried and true, spaghetti bokognesa . That Italian dish has been a long-time favorite of mine. My friend simply ordered something light which was a caesar salad. We. Billed until the food arrived and when it did I couldn't wait to take the first bite. It was really good, but I fortunately I could barely finish half of it. I like this...
