I am heartbroken to share an awful experience with Boone’s, after years of considering them our “neighborhood jeweler” (including custom pieces, gemstone and gold jewelry purchases, and many referred friends). I brought a high-end, much-cherished piece of Southwestern silver jewelry in for a quick hand polishing in advance of an upcoming event. Never crossed my mind that it would be anything other than a simple job, for which $30 seemed entirely reasonable. Unfortunately when I picked the piece up a week later, it had brown residue all over it, clearly from some sort of chemical cleaning agent. I was disappointed that my item was not handled how I’d requested, but even more bewildered that silver beads covered in brown spots with a rusty chain — none of which was there when I dropped it off — was considered acceptably cleaned to hand back to a paying customer. I brought the item back in and was told they would take another look at it, with no apology or acknowledgement of error. I went back in a second time to pick up the item, and while it looked better than it did after the first “cleaning,” it still looked far worse than when I originally brought it in. Near tears, I asked if they could please try again to at least get it back to how I brought it to them, and if they couldn’t do that, that they refer me to a place that could properly clean it and I would send them the bill. In response, I was told I was being unreasonable, had eyes rolled at me, and was preached to about how they don’t know what kind of metals they’re dealing with — which is precisely why I didn’t want the piece chemically treated to begin with! At this point, I sincerely wish they had just told me they specialize in gold and gems, and sent me elsewhere to clean my silver piece. Even a simple recognition of their mistake would have gone a long way. Now I’m left with a beloved piece in bad condition that I don’t know how to fix, and in search of a new “neighborhood jeweler” after how I was spoken to by the owner. Truly...

I stopped by to sell some family heirloom jewelry pieces. My great experience started via email, where I spoke with Erik who was so kind, warm, and helpful. I don’t know a lot about selling gold, but I know I loved these pieces a lot; so this first step helped ease my nerves.

When we got to the store, everyone was so kind, so welcoming, the store was pristine and well organized. I had to remind myself I wasn’t shopping because they had so many beautiful pieces! Not only were they kind to me, but so welcoming to my fiancé and our dog.

They took their time evaluating each piece, explained what they were worth as well, and what the process they were doing was, and were very honest. Despite taking the necessary time, they were very quick and efficient and could answer all of my questions. I was incredibly impressed with the offer they made on my gold and jewelry, and was so touched by how seriously they took my feelings about parting with these pieces.

We will be returning to resize my fiancés wedding band, and to change the prongs on my engagement ring. We look forward to doing more business with them in the future! The family owned touch really elevates...
