Santini's New York Style Deli - Ashburn — Restaurant in Virginia

My wife and I always try to support new businesses in town, so we came here for lunch on a Sunday. Overall, the experience was pretty good other than some issues with the ordering and fulfillment process. We were pleased with the spacious interior, New York themed decor, and variety of menu options (including at least three types of french fries to choose from). A woman came out with a notepad, which helped accelerate the ordering process. However, she told us to pay at the register and then the guy at the register asked us to repeat the entire order so he could ring it up (ugh). Then another guy at the counter asked me for my order a third time so he could prepare it. I don't know what happened to the notepad with the original order. We sat outside, which was a nice option. When they brought the food, my sandwich had mayo on it although I had asked for no mayo. They fixed it without any hassle, although my wife was mostly done eating by that point. Anyhow, it is a nice place and I'm sure this was a minor mistake so we will plan to go back again to try some of the other...

AWESOME sandwiches.

Santini's is a chain deli up here in Northern Virginia, and this is my first visit to the Ashburn store. It's safe to say, this deli is just as good as the other stores, and I'm okay with that.

I ordered over the phone and was about five minutes away. The lady was super nice over the phone. The moment I walked in, my good was ready to go, and I was out the door within a minute. Can't beat that.

We ordered a classic steak and cheese and turkey with provolone sandwiches. Both were yummy. What else can I say???

The steak and cheese was nice and hot. The bread was that good kind of soft. Still consistent, but not crunchy. The meat and cheese was well seasoned and I love the peppers that were added. I love this sandwich!

My wife got the turkey and provolone and she said it tasted great. What more can you ask for?

Eat here. You won't be disappointed. They have a huge menu and they are fast. Great place, great people, great...

(Sarcastic voice). Very warming atmosphere. Upon entering and walking to where you can order, you are greeted by the most helpful staff member. He can barely muster enough energy to ask you “ what do you want.” The look on his face is very apparent he does not enjoy his job nor does he like speaking to people. Perhaps being in the back away from people is better suited for him. The food is enough to sustain life but not great.

I am a firm believer of trying places twice before commenting. Both times have been the same. I understand the job can be repetitive and sometimes unfulfilling but this is the job you chose regardless of it being a necessity, so put on a fake smile and pretend like each customer is welcome.

My last piece of advice would be to make sure you refill the condiments the night before, along with the napkin dispensers, this way customers are not searching table after table for...
