I’m Pakistani and finding food that meets my palates desire is very hard, unless I go to Northern VA or places nowhere near Stafford and Fredericksburg, so to find a joint in Stafford (mailing address is Fredericksburg) that have some great Pakistani food was great!
I used Uber Eats to order dinner on a weeknight and tried a few items I know aren’t the typical things most people order, just to see how fresh and tasty they would be and to my surprise, they were excellent!
Their Chicken Karahi was really nicely done! Not as spicy as I would like, but I’m sure I can ask them to spike it up next time. The tomatoes stewed down in the curry were spot on and the flavors were definitely there and the food was very fresh! I love a nice biryani and so I tried their veggie version and it was totally on-point! Nice flavors and perfectly cooked rice (not over-cooked) and their rice is an excellent quality basmati!!
Channa – Yum! I prefer when the chick peas are stewed down, yet a little firm and the sauce blends in well and these were great! The spice on them was right-on too!
Aloo Tiki was decent… it was a little dry, but the seasonings in it were great and they were definitely ample in size!
Chicken Tikka was perfectly made! You can see the depth of the marinade’s penetration into the breast meats and the flavor was great!
Naan was even perfect! Even after using a delivery service to have it transported home, the naan was fresh, tasty and had the perfect texture!
The sauces they gave with the food were nicely done… I got yogurt mint chutney, which was nicely flavored, even if a little too runny and they also gave me tamarind chutney and it was flavored nicely too.
Overall, I’ll definitely be back. I stopped in yesterday for lunch and for my first time there, but their chef hadn’t arrived yet, so I decided to go elsewhere… Thankfully he was there to prepare a great meal for us for dinner tonight!
Oh, once last thing… I keep seeing tons of reviews on Google about this place and they all look suspicious… I still feel that way about them, but I can assure you that this review, my review if authentic and very much a real review… Give them a try and decide...
Read moreThis is a cute spot, it’s got a descent setup. I came here and tried the buffet with my family. I thought that maybe it would be a good intro to the food here, but if this is how all their food tastes, then I don’t want to eat here again. Firstly the food presentation was not the best. Second, they didn’t not have a good sampling of the menu at the buffet. I got the lassi cause so many reviews on here talked about how good they were. Yes, the lassi tasted good, but I found a piece of plastic in the bottom of my glass ( like maybe from plastic bag)… needless to say, this was very unsettling since I had drank the whole thing 😩. I’m glad my son had decided he didn’t like it because it was originally intended for him. I had asked my husband to tell them about this, but he didn’t say anything when checking out. Hopefully this review will alert them to pay more attention to their Preparation practices. The rice was good… the naan was not great, I’m sure it would have gone fine with some more flavorful food, but it was not good comparable to any naan I have ever had. Regardless, my family and I will not be eating here again. The people here seem nice and the service was ok. The pricing in the review...
Read moreThis is absolutely one of the best Pakistani restaurants you will have a chance to go to! Pakistani food is kind of a blend of Afghani and Indian food. More spicy than Afghani food and more meat-based than Indian food. The food is absolutely to die for. The Haleem is the best I’ve ever had. The buffet is so so yummy! Restaurants this good are usually located in Northern Virginia. The fact that we have a restaurant that is this good in Fredericksburg is such a blessing. Don’t be afraid to try different things when you’re there. The owners are very nice, sweet people. It’s a little difficult to find but well worth the drive. It’s the very first right after you get off I-95 exit 133 towards Fredericksburg. Turn right just...
