Having heard about this place I decided to try it.
If I could give it a negative star I would.
I was told the prices were very reasonable and the amount of food you received was a lot. Well this was the first and last time I will ever go to a Quickway Japanese Hibachi.
I went it an the service was horrible. Started off ordering with one person then next thing I have another person asking me what else did I want. She was not at all pleasant and made me feel as if I was bothering her. I ordered the Steak Hibachi with No Vegetables and a Spicy Crab and Shrimp Sushi roll.
Within less than 5 minutes the whole order was ready. I should have caught on right then and there but I was so tired I took my food and left.
Got home and opened the container up and was thinking wow this is a lot of food. As I was mixing the food up that was when I noticed the container had compartments and thats why it looked as if I had a lot of food. I was surely shocked when I saw how little it was i received.
When I tried one of the Spicy Crab and Shrimp Sushi roll, it had a weird and odd taste that just seemed off. There was an odd smell as well. Needless to say I didn’t finish the Sushi.
The Steak Hibachi was nothing to rave about at all. The steak was so tough it was extremely difficult to chew, the noodles seemed ok, but I found carrots and some other vegetable I have no clue what it was in the food when I ordered no vegetables.
I would not recommend this place period. The food did not taste at all fresh. An hour after eating what little that I did, I became sick.
Knowing I wasted money when I work hard for it and do all I can to make ends meet I wish I had never gone...
Read moreMy folks live near here and frequently eat here. They met the owner when they first opened and initially were impressed with their service. Unfortunately tonight’s experience was disappointing. We have visitors in town and brought them to this establishment expecting good service and good food as before. We arrived at 8:30pm on 8/8/2025. The young lady who took our order professional and demonstrated excellent customer service. I spent $76 on food and drinks for my family. The drink machines were off and turned on with a groan when we attempted to fill our drinks. When trying to get our food a young man with red curly hair was incredibly rude and initially explained that our food would be packaged to go and we were not allowed to get in house because of their manager’s policy. After clarifying their closing hours the young lady who helped us before explained that the food is packaged to go but he was mistaken and we can eat in house until closing. The food was as before. We were not provided with sauce with either of our orders of dumplings unfortunately. The rude young man threw 2 packets of soy sauce in my hand when I asked for sauce. Another patron who was standing less than 2ft away, the only other person in the restaurant, had his order yelled by this same worker in such a truly obnoxious way. The overhead lights were turned off at 8:55pm. I worked my share of hourly jobs when I was younger and certainly understand the frustration of closing but service like this is unacceptable. We will not...
Read moremade the mistake of pulling into this place called Quickeay Hibachi—looked like it used to be a Jiffy Lube in a past life. It was 100 degrees outside, and somehow hotter inside. No AC. Just one sad-ass box fan in the corner doing absolutely nothing except pushing the smell of burnt onions deeper into my soul.
I should’ve turned around the second I walked in, but I was starving and too sweaty to think straight. That’s when I met him. The guy behind the counter. Just standing there like he was doing me a favor by existing. Gave me that look people give when they already hate you and you haven’t even said anything yet.
I ordered chicken and steak. He grunted. I said, “Can I get yum-yum sauce?” He sighed like I asked him to donate a kidney. Food comes out 15 minutes later in a styrofoam container that felt like it had been microwaved with the food still in it. The rice was crunchy. The steak was gray. The chicken? Might’ve been chicken.
I sat in my truck, windows down, sweat dripping down my spine, chewing through what I can only describe as prison rations with a side of attitude. And I thought to myself—there’s no way anyone gets out of that place better than they came in.
Some say there used to be a guy working there who fixed the place up before vanishing without a trace. But I don’t buy it. Maybe he saw the writing on the wall… or maybe the fan finally broke and he just walked straight into the sun.
Either way, I escaped. Barely. And I never went back. But I still have nightmares...
