Wish I could give this place zero stars. When it first opened, this location was great. I've never seen a place go downhill this far this fast. We went on a week night, place wasn't busy at all, yet we couldn't get even marginal service. We were seated quickly, then the waitress took more than ten minutes to come. Again, the place was almost empty, but fully staffed. She was nice, and recited the specials. I thought things were looking up. We ordered drinks and food. The drinks came out, then she disappeared. It took nearly 40 minutes for the food to arrive. During that wait, we never saw a waitress. We'll, we saw her loudly talking and laughing with the other employees, who were ignoring their customers as well. The food was cold when it arrived and seemed like it was probably sitting out for a while. Again, not sure why since there were several employees just standing around joking. None of the food was satisfactory.
To make things worse, the bus staff was cleaning the booth behind us and overheard us discussing the bad service. Two employees then proceeded to make loud snide comments and give us overtly dirty looks. They obviously went back and told the other employees, because we got similar treatment from the rest of the staff. This included the guy who seemed to be the manager. He made zero effort to correct any of the bad behavior.
We never did get a check delivered to the table. We got up, went to the cashier and stood there TEN MINUTES waiting for someone to acknowledge us. I was about to grab a complaint card and walk out when the manager finally came out of the kitchen and asked if I wanted to pay. I told them we never got the check and gave a quick synopsis of the issue with the service, but didn't ever get a response. Just told us the total due and held out his hand for the card.
Belive it or not, this was the least of the issues. There was an individual in the parking lot clearly selling some kind of substance out of his car. He came in to the restaurant 4 seperate times while we were there, each time going the restroom and quickly leaving. Not only did that not bother the staff, they spoke directly to him like they knew him and didn't seem to care. It aligns perfectly with the odd behavior from the staff. Clearly some of them were under the influence of something. When we left, he was at his car again, arguing with a woman loud enough to be a major safety concern. Apparently none of this is out of the ordinary, because no one seemed the least bit concerned. Personally, this alone is a deal breaker and people should avoid this place if they want to feel safe. Sorry, but no legitimate restaurant allows a dealer to openly work their parking lot.
We immediately contacted the email address listed on the comment card. We got a response saying they were concerned, noting that we spent quite a bit that night and asking if we were local. That's it. No contact since. I definitely would never recommend this location. There is another one at the next exit south with none of...
Read moreWhen I walked in I was not greeded but was looked at by 3 employees who were sitting down at a bar which faces the front door eating their food. When I worked in the restaurant industry my manager would have never let employees be sitting in front of customers eating food and then also not greeting customers was unheard us. You stop what you're doing and you greet the customer because the customer is what's keeping your restaurant business alive. So when I walked in I see to go bags sitting on a counter and I just decide to walk up to the to go bags at the counter, and of course nobody is behind the counter working because all the employees are sitting down eating. So there was one employee who was actually working and she was waiting on 2 tables. She stopped and asked me if she could help me and I let her know I was there to pick up a to go order. So she asked the employee who was responsible for to go orders if she could come over and help me with my order and the girl responds "I don't have no receipt for you but you could just take the bag" as she stays seated. So I'm like OK and I take the bag. But because I've had issues with this restaurant consistently I knew to check my bag before I left the building and to no surprise my order was messed up. My eggs were burnt they were brown on a bottom and they were supposed to be scrambled eggs with cheese. If you are a restaurant that specializes in breakfast food why do you consistently burn the eggs, why are the pancakes consistently burnt and dry and cold when they come out. So my bottom pancake of my short stack was wrinkled or folded in half in dis former dish shape and and also a had order has Browns with cheese and ham but of course the cheese and ham was not one them. I didn't want to get my whole order remade so I just went up to the employee handling to go orders and told her that the cheese and ham were left off of my hash browns. As I was telling her the manager overheard me and he offered to take care of that for me. Take care of that meaning get the hash browns fixed. So he did that and he was nice and courteous but as a manager you should not allow your employees to eat out in the open where customers can see them and you should not let it be acceptable for them to not get up stop what they're doing and greet a customer when they see a customer walking in the door. That should be unacceptable. I constantly and consistently have problems out of this restaurant and I want to like them so bad because I love the Ihop franchise. But the customer service and the cooks are sub par to...
Read moreLocals visit 2/11/25 Lack of adequate staffing is apparent upon arrival. We had to wait for them to clear tables. Only half the dining room was being utilized with an older man and woman working the floor. We got a booth as requested and it was clean but you sunk 6" into the worn out seats. The man took our order and it came out wrong. It was obvious he was inexperienced in the use of the digital tablet being used to place the order. Eggs on my wife's order were to be on the side. They were served on the main plate. He also brought a strawberry chocolate covered pancake stack that wasn't ordered and had to be returned for regular pancakes. Hash browns on both our orders were under cooked. The small sausages on my order were tasteless and not eaten. The buttermilk pancakes were marginal at best. The bacon was limp and undercooked. My wife's smokehouse sausages were very good. A big plus was the soft butter served for the pancakes. The over easy eggs were cooked correctly. Bill was incorrect as the upcharge for the chocolate strawberry pancake was included. $42.41 for breakfast is outrageous. Will not return.
*Note this review was completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do yourself a favor, trust me, flavorful, or kids emojis etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No disrespect to the employees but no one cares about the waiter/waitress/clerk names, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. We don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food.
